"Why the hell am I seeing this?" I asked myself, my breathing ragged and hoarse from repeatedly screaming for my mother.

"Because I wanted you to." A soft robotic voice answered me, I looked up.

"Mom?" I asked again but this time towards the robotic female in front of me.

"Hello Y/n"

No fucking way, there's just no way that this woman in front of me is my mother.

My mother was beautiful and had skin softer than a newborn's and a voice kinder than any being in this world or at least that's how I remembered her but this woman in front of me looked exactly like her expect her body parts were replaced with robotic limbs and her voice was monotonous and sounded like a sound being spoken over tv.

"Puppy, don't worry, it is me though I don't look the same, I'm still the same woman." She spoke, her voice void of any emotion but her nickname for me, I remembered it, my mother called me that because I made puppy eyes at her for a new toy. Wait a minute did she just read my mind?

"No, and Yes, we are in your mind after all." She spoke again.

"Right. How did you--?" I asked her, waving my hands toward her body to indicate what I'm referring to.

"Become a robot? Simple, it is the reason why I am showing you my memories." She answered.

"What happened after you passed out?" I asked.

"I became sick. My lungs were dying because of the gas I inhaled trying to save that boy."

"That doesn't explain your entire body being made out of metal and how the hell don't I remember seeing you this way?" I squinted my eyebrows together, this whole situation was fucking up my brain.

"I am gonna get to it." I hated it, the lack of emotions in her voice made me uneasy. "I'm sorry if my voice displeases you."

"Oh, right mind thing."

"Can I please proceed?" She asked me.

"Sorry sorry, this whole situation is just messing with my head."

"Understood, my father tried replacing my lungs with artificial lungs but they were taking a strain on my body. My blood wasn't receiving the normal amount of oxygen levels so my father tried replacing all my organs that would've failed because of the lack of oxygen but to do that he had to replace my--"

"Your heart. It would make sense since the heart is sort of the only thing keeping us alive but that doesn't explain your looks." I answered for her only to question her again.

"My artificial organs were heavy for my body so I had to change my entire structure from organic to robotic. Even my voice. As for why you don't remember seeing me like this, is because after those enforcers killed me, my nanobots transferred to find a new host as an alternative to keep me alive and they needed someone who was very compatible, someone with my DNA. And they found you but during the transfer, it seems they have removed your memories by mistake."
