[12] Fifth Anniversary (Kei & King)



King:
I'm here. Where are you?

I'm sorry, Love.
Gonna be late for a few minutes.

What? Why?

Something happened at work.
I'll just fix it right away.

Can't you give it to the others guys?
You'll only get off early this time,
can they give you a break?

I'm sorry, but it has to be me.

But I need you right now.
You haven't forgotten what day it is today,
am I right?

Of course not.
I just need to fix this.
I'll be there right away.

Fine. Whatever.

Wait for me, alright? I love you.

Kei sigh as he set his memo pad down the table. Running his fingers through his blond locks of her and massaging his temple. He glanced at his phone once again only to feel disappointed seeing no new messages from his boyfriend.

The last exchange of messages between them was already half and hour ago. Although he said he'll be in their meeting place in just a few minutes, he got hanged up on his work longer than he thought.

And he knows, with the last exchange of messages that his boyfriend is probably annoyed by now. Sulking on the street while waiting.

King Lopez, his lover for almost five years now will glare at him later. After all, the raven is not fond of waiting and really hates delayed plans. Especially when its a date they planned. A date wherein they both clear out their work schedule. And today is not just any other date.

Today is their fifth year anniversary.

Something they should celebrate for actually lasting this long despite the numerous fights and arguments. To celebrate another year of successfully tolerating and loving each others bad sides. Another achievement despite being the opposite side of the coin. Because people often tell them that they don't match. That their personalities clashes each other.

But despite all of those flaws in their relationship, they manage to last long. And it's something to be proud of.

But because of what happened, he'll have to woo the other to make this date a success. He'll have to make amends for delaying this plan despite hating the idea of pursuing people. They both hate the thought of chasing the other. After all, pride had been their biggest relationship flaw ever since.

But, there are more than times that they make it work. That they make an exception, just for each other. And since he's clearly at fault this time, he'll have to do what a good boyfriend does. Woo the other.

Kei grabbed his belongings and stuffed them unto his bag. Putting on his trench coat and wrapping a blue scarf around his neck which was King's gift last Christmas.

He left the building and took a cab that'll take him to the place. Smiling to himself as he thought of tonight's date. He was excited, he admits. Because they haven't gone out together for a while ever since his King got transferred on his work and Kei became busy with his, too.

Tonight was a night for them. To relax. To take back the times they haven't been together.
