The traveler would sometime go chill in the teapot. When [m/n] would go missing, traveler would sometimes roam around near Mondstat and go for a fish for their dinner.

They certainly didn't think they fished out a living being.

She introduced herself as Paimon, and without [m/n]'s knowledge, Paimon and traveler became buddies...at least Paimon thought so.

Paimon took traveler for a stroll, and traveler had wrote down a note announcing their departure for the day. When they got out, Paimon was already waiting for them and soon they ventured off. Knowing [m/n], traveler thought that you wouldn't need to worry too much because he([m/n]) put trust in him(traveler).

"All in all, the trade should already be secured," you sighed. "Liyue can sure be a ling way to go, on the way the carts were ambushed treasure hoarders and hilichurls that the time delayed and we almost couldn't make it." you groaned.

"Well," the man in front of you chuckled. "You should be thankful, for what you encountered were just easy pieces...unlike what's happening right now."

On cure, both you and the man looked from afar the forest and saw a big shadowed layer of the sky looming over Mondstat. Your eyes narrowed and the man beside you sighed.

"Shall we?" he motioned.

You grabbed your whip and did a small swish, "Let's go."

---

'They should be safe,' you thought, seeing how the wind picked up paced and so did your steps. 'Traveler better not went out strolling while I was away.'

Zooming through the trees and heading out into the open, you weren't surprised to see people going outside the gates to get away. This was, after all, a normal occurrence whenever a big attack would happen.

Such as...Stormterror.

It was normal alright...

What wasn't normal though...

"Would you look at that!" your companion marveled from behind you, both of you looking up to where Stormterror was flying—

—With a familiar looking blondie using a wind glider and chasing down that beast.

"That dolt!" you scoffed in disbelief. "They're such a naughty one, that's for sure..." you didn't want to interfere that fight, but once you saw the Traveler suddenly topple over in near of falling, your heart skipped a beat.

Your eyes widened, a sudden flash of memory overlapped with what you were seeing right now. You wanted to run towards them, but a hand grasped your wrist. "[m/n], don't."

"Kaeya, let go." you ordered, but that just made your companion tighten his grip even more. "I know what you're going to do, but don't do it." Kaeya sighed. "You should know it too right? That person has potential," he eyes the gliding traveler aiming towards Dvalin head-on.

You sighed deeply, aware that both of you knew what was going on. You smiled wryly, "I can't help it, okay?" you laughed softy. "It's been a while since I've seen someone fight a massive danger without even any weapons...but them..." you looked towards the traveler. "What you see is simply the surface...I..."

Kaeya stared at your face, your reaction. "Alright," he said trying not to dwell into anything deeper about you and your affairs regarding the person up above the sky, flying. "It looks like the show is finishing, shall we head towards them and greet our rising hero?"
