Tiffany pulled up to my house "here you go, sweetface, I got you the slower acting one so all you have to do is put it in a drink" Tiffany said passing me a pill.
"Okay thank you, Tiffany. I'll see you guys soon" I said and got out. Tiffany drove off as I headed inside, I went to the kitchen, I boiled the kettle and got two mugs, one of the mugs I put the pill in and the other I grabbed some orange juice from the fridge and poured it into the glass. Once the kettle finished boiling I put the water in the mug with the pill and stirred it to dissolve the pill. I grabbed the milk, sugar, tea bag and ground coffee for when Karen arrives. I took a sip of the orange juice as I waited. I heard a knock on the door so I placed the spoon on the sink and made my face seem scared and went to open the door. "Hello, thanks for coming," I said, making my voice break.
"Oh Maya I'm so sorry about you friends," Karen said and I nodded as a few tears fell down my face, I wiped them away.
"Come in, would you like coffee or tea?" I asked.
"Coffee please," Karen said and I nodded stepping back to allow her in, I closed the door and went to the kitchen.
"I don't know how you would like it so I just took everything out and just finished boiling the water," I said.
"Thank you, Maya, so could you explain what happened?" Karen asked as she made her coffee.
"I'll let you finish so we can go to the living room and sit down as it's a long story," I said.
"Okay," Karen said. After she had her coffee made I put everything away and we went to the living room, we sat on the two chairs so we were facing each other.
"So I got Chucky five years ago when I was 10 from my grandmother before she passed, and one of his sayings was that I should take him with me everywhere. I didn't think anything of it, I was a child that loved to take her dolls with her and he was my best friend. I started noticing he was not where I left him like I thought I put him on my dresser and when I went back he was on my bed. Subtle little things where I thought I was going crazy. Then on Tuesday, I woke up in the hospital to the doctor saying I was attacked and the last thing that I remembered was Chucky coming to life and taking the knife out of his pocket. He tried to kill me" I said looking up with tears in my eyes. "And then today I found out my mother died and my foster parents died yesterday and I think Chucky killed them. It's all my fault" I sobbed.
"Oh Maya, it's not your fault. You didn't know" Karen said as she stood up and stumbled a bit as she tried to walk towards me to comfort me.
"Oh but it is," I said with a smile.
"Maya, what have you done?" Karen slurred.
"Chucky is Terry, I couldn't say Chucky as you knew about him so I used a name that he was familiar with, he's my five-year friendship. Honestly, I'm a little disappointed you weren't able to figure it out" I said.
"Why?" Karen asked.
"Because Andy took something he shouldn't have and I want it back. What better way to lure him back than with his dear mother. Don't worry your nightmare is almost over" I said as Tiffany opened the door.
"Is she asleep?" Tiffany asked.
"Not yet but she can't run," I said as Tiffany came over. "I'll be back, I'm going to wash the mugs," I said and got her mug and went to the kitchen. I brought both mugs and put them in the sink that had water in it, I used the rag and washed the two mugs and the spoons and put them away.
I went back to the living room where Tiffany was getting Karen to stand so I went over and got on the other side of her and supported her left side while Tiffany supported her right. Karen was mumbling something that I couldn't pick out what she was saying. We left the house and put her in the backseat. I went back and closed the door and then got in the front seat. "She's asleep," Tiffany said as I buckled up.
