We headed downstairs where Junior met us. He had a basket with a blanket over his arms. When he saw me he did a double-take. "You look amazing Maya," Junior said.
"You too Junior," I said as I looked at him, he had his hair brushed back, black jeans with a few rips and a black shirt.
"We put Karen to sleep, it's highly unlikely but she may wake up," Tiffany told Chucky and Charles, and we left, both Junior and I got in the back, my stomach was doing somersaults.
Tiffany pulled up to a park and Junior got out so I did as well. Junior led me into the park, placed the blanket underneath a tree and we sat down. The full moon was beautiful. "Junior, may I ask you a question and I want you to be honest with me, can you do that?" I asked as I looked at him, he nodded. "Why did you ask me on a date? Even after knowing that I am not normal" I asked.
"Because I like you, Maya, there's no such thing as normal. If you try to say you shouldn't be liked because of the things you did this week don't forget that I have also done it. Maya, I accept that this is who you are and I'll never try to change you" Junior said. I searched his eyes for evidence that he was lying but I couldn't find any.
"Thanks, Junior, I like you too," I said. Junior opened the basket and took out two containers of Tiffany's Swedish meatballs.
"Here you go Maya," Junior said, passing me a fork and the container.
"Thanks, Junior," I said with a smile. I opened the container and ate a meatball, "so Junior what's your favourite colour?" I asked.
"I'd have to say green, what about you?" Junior asked.
"Mine's probably black and don't give me crap about it being a shade and not a colour. I don't care" I answered.
"What did you want to be?" Junior asked.
"Growing up I always wanted to be a scientist, I wanted to experiment on humans, what about you?" I asked.
"A singer," Junior said.
"If you could go back in time, what is one thing that you would change, but you aren't able to bring someone back from the dead?" I asked.
"It would probably have to be the day I started dating Lexy. She was such a bitch and I feel like we would've still met as I feel like Chucky would've got us to meet up" Junior said.
"For me, it would probably have to be when I met Charles. I wish I could've got him to meet you earlier than he did so I could be open with you about everything with Chucky as one of the rules is not to tell anyone about him for obvious reasons so I couldn't tell you not like you would've believed me anyways" I said.
"Do you ever regret meeting Chucky?" Junior asked.
"No, and you may think I'm stupid but I care about him and I do consider him a close friend. He was the only one to keep a promise. He does terrify me but that is to be expected he's been alive for over 60 years and over half of that time has been spent killing people" I answered.
"I do, I feel as if I can't trust him. He almost killed you because of me and I wonder where I would be if I never met him" Junior said.
"I can tell you that what Charles did wasn't your fault and if you never met him then you would still be doing track as your father slowly became his brother and may have been worse with time as Charles ended Lucas' rein of terror on Jake. What is something that you can do that no one knows?" I asked.
"You're probably right. It'd probably have to be that I can shoot a gun and almost always hit what I was aiming for" Junior said.
"That's impressive, for me it would probably be that I can see a picture from the future, when I draw and don't think and allow my hand to do what it wants it draws a picture from the future. About three months ago I drew a picture of my first meeting with Lexy and then when I met you I drew Lexy's death" I said.
