The rest of the day flew by and before I knew it, it was time to go to therapy. Leah brought me in so I knew where to go. As we went up in the elevator I was humming a song that I had stuck in my head, but when the doors opened we went to the front office I stopped. "Hello, Maya has an appointment with Dr. Karen Norris," Leah said to the receptionist.

"Okay, Maya I want you to fill this form out while Leah and I talk," she said and passed me a clipboard. I sat in the waiting room with Chucky and the clipboard while the lady and Leah talked. I put Chucky next to me and filled out the form. When I finished, I got up, grabbed Chucky, and went to the front and the receptionist, when I found her I gave her the forms. "Okay Leah, she'll be done in 45 minutes today. Dr. Norris just wants to get to know her," she said.

"Okay thank you, Emily, Maya I'll be back in one hour to pick you up," Leah said and she left.

I felt three taps on my arm, so I brought Chucky to my ear, " be careful with what you say Doll" Chucky warned me. I gulped but nodded. I repositioned Chucky as I entered the room, Chucky stiffened but I ignored it.

"Hello Maya, I'm Karen, who is your friend?" Karen asked me.

"Hi I'm Chucky and I'm your friend 'til the end, Hidey-ho ha ha ha," Chucky said. I saw Karen fidget with her fingers as Chucky talked in his doll voice. She's nervous.

"I gave one to my child when he was six, he brought him everywhere as well. Andy loved him at first" Karen said, ah, so that's why they both reacted that way.

"I'm sure Andy had a lot of fun with him, if it's as much fun as I'm having then he had a blast," I said.

"You could say that," Karen said.

"How is Andy?" I asked.

"He's good just travelling around the country, but this isn't about me, it's about you," Karen said. "How are you doing with the death of your father?" Karen asked.

"I'm doing okay, it was a tragic accident," I said.

"Yes, a horrible accident, almost too much of an accident to be one," Karen said.

"What exactly are you implying?" I asked.

"Nothing, it just reminds me of some accidents that happened to my son while we had a Chucky doll," Karen said.

"Whatever your son did with Chucky is nothing like what I do, I got him a while ago as a gift for my grandmother, who has since passed, it was one of the last things she gave me and I treasure him for it" I said.

"Okay maybe I'm wrong, but if anything weird happens call this number," Karen said passing me a piece of paper with her name and number on it. "Moving on, how are you liking it at your foster home?" Karen asked moving on from Chucky.

"It's okay, I miss my mom but I have great friends who are keeping my mind busy," I said.

"Friends are good, would you like to talk about them?" Karen asked.

"Well, there's Terry. I've known him the longest, five years. He is my best friend, but he has a bit of a temper. He doesn't trust people easily. I don't even think he trusts me. But I trust him and it may be stupid of me to trust him but there's something about him that draws me in. Then there is Devon who I don't really know, I've known him, Junior, Lexy and Jake for three days. He's quiet, not much of a talker, he's dating my other friend Jake. Jake lost his father to a tragic accident a few weeks ago which caused the three of them to become friends, and I joined them when I moved here. Jake and Lexy have some form of PTSD from an accident that happened two weeks ago. Jake is quiet as he doesn't like to be the leader of the group that is Lexy. She likes to talk, she is nice when she wants to get something and can be very manipulative.
