I knew I screwed up with talking to Jake. "I'm sorry about Jake," Junior said as we started walking.

"Hey no need to be sorry, but you should probably stay away from him. Some people deserve to die but you're not one of them" I said and gave him a smile which he returned.

"Who do you think deserves to die?" Junior asked.

"No offence Junior but both Jake and your father. They are both assholes and the world would probably be a better place without them" I said.

"I agree with you there Maya. They are both assholes and the world would probably be a better place without them, if they were to drop dead tomorrow I wouldn't miss them" Junior said.

"And you shouldn't," I said.

"Thanks, Maya, you're a good friend," Junior said.

"Of course Junior, I'm the only friend that gets you," I said and gave him a hug. "I need you to do me one favour Junior, if Jake asks what we talked about please tell him that it was just about your mother. Okay, Junior?" I asked as we stopped walking.

"Okay, Maya but why?" Junior asked.

"How would you feel if someone you thought was a friend wanted you dead? I'm just trying to keep a friendship with Jake as a friend of mine asked me to. My friend Charles really hates Jake almost as much as you do Junior. So I've befriended Jake to penetrate his inner circle as he doesn't trust easily but right now he trusts me but it could all go downhill if he finds out that I am friends with Charles and everything I worked so hard to do will go down the drain. You understand?" I asked.

"So Charles wants you to befriend Jake to betray him and if he finds out that you talk to Charles, Jake will stop talking to you? And Jake and Charles know each other?" Junior asked.

"Yup pretty much. But Jake may do more than just stop talking to me, he'll probably try to kill me and Charles, as Charles can be dangerous and because I associate myself with him he will think that I'm dangerous" I said.

"Really?" Junior asked, shocked.

"Yeah. Charles and Jake really hate each other. Which is why Jake reacted the way that he did earlier because he is starting to suspect something is going on with me and Charles, but I think I was able to throw him off my trail. I need to be careful around him and what I say as Charles always finds out about what I say and he has a nasty temper but we've been friends for the last five years so I've gotten used to it and have come to appreciate what he does. That's why I need you to promise not to tell him about what we talked about, because if he finds out he'll try to kill us as he deems us dangerous" I explained.

"Okay I promise I'll only tell him we talked about mom," Junior said.

I launched myself at him and gave him a hug "thank you" I said as I pulled back. I looked at the time and noticed that it was almost 5, "we should probably head back, I need to head home soon" I said.

"Okay," Junior said and we turned around and started to walk back to his house. "Why does Jake think Charles is dangerous?" Junior asked.

"I'll tell you later after I talk to Charles about it, I'm sure he wants to meet you," I said.

"Well I would love to meet him," Junior said.

"I'll see what I can arrange," I said, his house came into view and Leah's car was there. I gave Junior a hug, "thank you" I whispered. "I'll see you tomorrow at 8," I said as I waved goodbye. I got in the car and we went home. It was quiet which I didn't hate, it gave me time to think about what to say to Chucky when I got home. We pulled into the house and we got out and went inside. The smell that hit me in the face was heavenly almost like I smelled it before but I couldn't place my finger on it. I took my boots off.
