3rd person's POV
They entered the cafeteria and looked around to see if there were any open seats.

They found an empty table since they were earlier than other students, they chose it and sat down next to each other.

"Right, you got most of the notes right?" Anne asked while tapping her fingers on the table.

"Uh yeah, I just didn't get the ones before I came in."

She nodded before grabbing her backpack and pulling out a notebook and flipping through it before sliding it over to her.

"The notes you missed is just that first page, you can take a photo of it or just copy it, but I'd want to hang out with you so..."

It went silent but the raven-haired girl's smile was obvious, and she said. "What? You want to cherish all your time with me?"

Anne's face heated up but she playfully shoved the smirking girl away and said. "Shut up!"

They both erupted in laughter and the girl shook her head before pulling out a notebook, while saying. "I'd better get this done now."

Anne's eyes softened once she realized how serious this girl was about her grades, it kind of reminded her of...

No, stop thinking about her.

She left, get over it.

She closed her eyes and let out a shaky breath before softly shaking her head, and she forced herself to focus on her again, and opened her eyes.

But she was already, speedily copying the notes down, glancing back and forth between the two notebooks as some of her hair fell in her face, which she blew away but didn't put back since she was too focused.

Before Anne knew it, she reached over and tucked the hair back in place, which made the girl freeze and look up at her.

They stared into each other's eyes for a second as they both felt their faces heating up, but the girl shook her head and tore her eyes away and went back to writing.

Anne sighed but she didn't mind it, her company was enough to comfort her, which was weird, she barely knew the girl.

It took the whole lunch period for them to finish, and they both got up and walked up the stairs together before looking at each other.

"I don't think I've ever got your name..." Anne said as they stood in front of the other girl's class.

She paused before smiling and said. "Maybe you'll get it next time."

Anne pouted which made the girl blush and say. "Don't give me that."

She laughed and watched the raven-haired girl turn, and before she left she muttered something.

"I'm Marcy, bye!"

Anne froze, as she registered what she had just said, she felt a bundle of emotions all at once crashing down at her.

Maybe she had misheard?

But she knew, she knew she had heard correctly.

But what was Marcy doing here?
