Kol woke up to the sound of the balcony door slowly opening as he squinted his eyes he laid his eyes on Laura who was trying to open the door 

"What are you doing love its.....4am come back to bed I want to sleep" cries Kol 

"I couldn't sleep so I was going to go outside for a while to look at the view" says Laura

"Wait I'm coming with you" comments Kol

"you dont need to its literally a few steps away I'll be fine" states Laura as she watches Kol stand up and walk towards her 

"you can't sleep and that means I can't sleep so I'm coming with you" adds Kol as he takes a shirt from the closet and puts it on 

"what are you so worried about darling?" Asks Kol as he hugs 

Laura breathes in and replies "everything, I can't seem to stop worrying"

"Baby, everything is fine, I called bekah a few hours ago and she says everything is fine" voices Kol

Laura felt at ease when she heard that Rebekah said everything was okay, "Good that's good"

"alright since we are awake and it's almost your birthday, I have a surprise for you" states Laura

"Darling, you existing is already enough of a gift" 

"I know that but I have a gift, so close your eyes" demands Laura 

"alright, my eyes are closed" huffs Kol 

"remember centuries ago you got me a gorgeous gold pendant with a heart engraved on it, well I got you a ring with the same design.... I know its a little cliché but I thought we could match some how or think of it as a promise ring"

"Baby its perfect, thank you" voices Kol 

Laura scrunches his nose and places a soft kiss on his lips "your welcome"
