Soobin P.O.VBreathing in the fresh air, I watch as the autumn leaves descend from the now naked trees, the grass turned more into a yellowish brown instead of any greenery. Most of summer was gone, stores were putting up autumn decorations and people were dressing up in more sweaters than shorts, the breeze we couldn't feel during the de-stressed summer was all of sudden at our every turn whenever we went out side.
The cooling puff of air was valid proof that summer was now over and the resting season was being taken over by autumn.
"Yeonjun, I don't usually ask for stuff like this but I need some advice..." I trail off my sentence as I watch his pouty lips twirl up into a teasing grin, "Is it a girl, aww" Like I thought, Yeonjun had read me in and out, my throat clumps up and I almost stop saying anything. Redness flushes my cheeks whilst my finger curls into a soft fist, "No its just, You know Yeji's friend" I began with an expression that suppressed my sudden nervousness which isn't very likely when I'm with Yeonjun.
"You've seriously fallen in love with Lia, Soobin you could do so much better" My black haired friend acknowledged as he played with the hem of his hoodie. Furrowing my brows I finally respond as he interrupted me, "She's simple and curious which makes her very cute, I like her choice of style as well as the way her self esteem is built, ok" Sternly, I shared with him why I liked the girl and part of me was pissed off at how he didn't react this way when I told him who my girlfriend was back in high school, instead he was cheering for me and loved the girl.
He said that she was my type.
However, she never was.
"Have you guys had any interactions, like you know verbally talking to each other, something you struggle tremendously to do?" Yeonjun quizzed as my brow unknowingly ticks upwards in a sign of irritation. "We met up around the girls bathroom, she bumped into me and so she helped pick up the books I had dropped then we stared at each other for a bit before the bell rang" The lie slips easily without difficulty, I'm not sure how'd I'd feel telling Yeonjun about Lia's body being pressed up against my chiseled chest while I tried not to turn into a tomato.
My male best friend tilts his head slightly with a smirk on his face, this was like a game to him, Kai, Taehyun, or me don't usually ask him about these stuff so when we're interested in someone which has only really been me, Taehyun hasn't been with another girl ever since he started dating Chaeryeong and still hasn't been with anyone, and Kai is practically gay at this point, me being interested in someone really excites him.
"Was this yesterday?" I nod shyly at the topic and try to ignore the picture of me and Lia pressed up against each other. We were interrupted by a kind voice asking what we wanted to order, the woman held a small note book with a pen in her hand; ready to record on paper, what we wanted. Giving the stranger a small smile, I order my coffee and get back to my private conversation with Yeonjun as the waitress walks away.
Turning my head to face Yeonjun, I give him a stare that tells him that the advice should start coming now, "Maybe you should become friends with her first, after that you can take her out to a cafe or somewhere, gradually start getting close to her."
"Thats how girls like their men, well I mean your girl, simple girls" he explained as he used his hands that made a picture in my head. With narrowed eyes at the emphasis 'simple' I just ignored it with a thank you to the waitress who had now arrived with our drinks.
"Thanks" Our drinks had arrived whilst I placed them on the wooden table, moving the small plant blocking space for our drinks. "You may be a lil dumb but you sure do help me out a lot" I throw back a snarky comment for the one he gave me just now, smiling with innocence in my eyes, Yeonjun lets out a low chuckle as I also start laughing at our silliness.
