"ɪ ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴅɪᴅ"

Lia's P.O.V

A suffocating but awkward silence engulfed the room the moment those words slipped out of my mouth, it was like my mother was stunned but physically frozen as she parted her lips to say something.

"I-I Lia, well..." The woman who's been practically waiting her entire life for me to grow up so that we could talk about this stuff stutters quietly whilst she begins to clear her throat. "Hold on Lia, come up stairs with me" She ushers me before excitingly jumping up the stairs, I hold back a stifled laughter as I smile gingerly at her sudden mood swing.

The familiar hall way was all I could see as the beautiful antic wall designs continued to amaze me, the floors were wiped clean and very polished as the colour complemented the furniture around. In her room we go, I breath in what used to be the fresh mint smell of Mr. Min's room, he was a clean freak which made me like coming over here, especially when everything seemed like a hotel suite all the time. Except, the thing is, Mr. Min is gone and his house has been taken over by my sweet and alluring mother, as well as some hunk of junk- I mean gorgeous human being who is interrupting what I used to breathe in.

Clean, scented air.

Now, I smell the vape pen from here as well as some really strong cologne that Mr. Min never wore, not like he needed to, his clean freakiness led to many different levels. I sigh the moment I see the petrifying man laying in bed showcasing his chiseled abs, I covered my eyes with my hand as I waited for my mother to do something.

"Jeong Hoon, would you mind putting a shirt on, I need to have an important chat with my daughter" That's the exact reason why I haven't completely gone into rebellion child mode against my mother, she still and always moves every fucked up relationship aspect away from my situation when I need advice or some help. However, this time it's different, I'm finally talking about love, willingly at least. "Yeah sure" Says the smooth, deep cozy voice, his tone was softer and reminded me of a fire place. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all, but I'd prefer it if he'd leave, "Want me to leave too? It looks like it's pretty private" The corner of my lip curl into a smirk as I think the words 'yes please', I've always been mean and unfriendly towards my stepfather's so far, even my own dad, well that's whenever I see him kiss his wife on the fore head but than an hour later is kissing my mother everywhere.

'Yeah, leave, My mom needs me, not you' I thought childishly as the man stares at me with his brow raised, telling me not to push somewhat of my luck.

"No no, if you find it comfortable here you can sta-" Jeong Hoon cuts her off, "Nah, I'd rather stay in the living room, this one doesn't like me much" He remarks while pointing at me, and to no surprise my mother sighs as she gives me a look that says 'can you be nice for once?!'

And the answer is no, no I can't be nice.

The moment the door shut my mother instantly starts pouting and scowling at me like she wasn't smiling and giggling seconds ago. "Why do you always have to be like that?" She puzzled while sitting down on her astonishingly still tidy bed, even though she really hasn't cleaned in like a months since you know...Mr.Min.

"Seems you've got a straight forward boyfriend or what you'd call 'bae'" I mock her as she rolls her eyes, "You know what, we'll talk about this later, right now you've got to tell me what you mean you need love advice."

"It means what it means" I respond with my brows scrunched and my figure slouched as I take comfort in her big bed that I've missed. "Lia..." I finally get up from my bad posture and nod vaguely before just spilling my guts.

No not literally.

"I came back to South Korea, went to university, only to find a distraction, this guy who's Yeji's friend has been on my mind and I have no Idea why, at first I thought that this was normal whenever you have a guy friend but I don't think that's the case, and he kinda acts weird."
