Kyubey couldn't focus. Even after they could leave for lunch, her mind was still on the English teacher. Students were staying behind to ask him questions and she heard that he was very much single.
"Kyubey?" questioned Mina as the two girls carried their box lunches to their favorite spot outside. "S-Sorry." she mumbled in response, smiling as Mina laid out a blanket under the big tree in the court yard and the two took a seat. She looked up and she blushed when she saw that Mr. Todoroki was walking by, running a hand through his hair and looking down at his phone.
He was smiling..it was faint, but he looked happy.
She figured he was the type that hid his true emotions.
"So I'm assuming someone has a little crush on our English teacher." stated Mina, bringing Kyubey out of her head. "I do not." she huffed and Mina raised a brow. "Kyubey, there are so many cute students here, even Keigo but somehow you only looked at our teacher. I didn't even know you had a type until now." she remarked and Kyubey groaned.
"I don't have a type..I don't think. He's just.." she trailed off wistfully and Mina giggled. "You do. It's the dark hair, tattoos and deep voice, huh? And those lean arms..I just know he works out." she said and Kyubey bit her lip at her words. "It doesn't mean anything, we couldn't do anything anyways."
"Ms. Sakura?" came his voice and Kyubey's face reddened, her eyes wide as she looked up. Did he hear...?
"Y-Yes?" she stammered and he gave her an amused stare. "I'm not mad at you. You actually did very well earlier. I just wanted to see more of your art." he said, glancing at Mina who was purposely being silent. "Oh! Sure..but it's in my desk." she said and he hummed. "We can go up and get it. My sister wanted to see what you could draw." he said and Kyubey realized that was the reason he was smiling.
She almost thought maybe he had..some girl he got with sometimes. She wouldn't be surprised but it almost made her jealous.
"Okay. Can I eat while we walk?" she asked, standing carefully and he nodded. "That's fine. I need to eat soon too. My mom would throw a fit." he sighed as the two walked and Kyubey gave him a stern look. "Your mom is right. Eat something. We can share my lunch. It's curry." she said and he raised a brow. "Is my age making me that comfortable to be around?" he teased and she blushed. "A little.." she mumbled and he hummed.
"It's fine. Just don't think I'll let you slide if your grades slip." he said and she huffed. "I know that T-" she stopped and he raised a brow. "Sir. Sorry." she blushed and he found it really cute. He reached up, then stopped, realizing what he was about to do. "It's okay Ms. Sakura."
"Just call me Kyubey. My last name feels to formal." she said as the two headed up the steps side by side. "Alright..Kyubey. When we're alone..you can just call me Touya. Or Dabi so no one knows who you're referring to. It's a stupid name I made when I was fourteen. I guess you could say I wanted to be..edgy. But it grew on me." he said and she laughed at that, making him smile.
"Okay Touya..which by the way, is a very nice name." she whispered and he bit his lip, unable to deny the fact that his name sounded way better coming from her. "My mom picked it. We apparently look alike..though I'm not sure if I have her white hair." he said and Kyubey looked curious. "You dye your hair?" she remarked and he nodded.
"It was red at first..I didn't like it." he said and she got the feeling it was a touchy subject. She smiled and his heart jumped for some reason. "That's okay. I think white would look good on you too." she said and he looked away, his face feeling oddly warm. She noticed and she tried not to gush over how cute he looked.
The two stopped at the classroom and Touya opened the door, letting her in first. Upon stepping inside Kyubey went right over to her desk grabbing her sketch book from inside her bag that hung on her chair. "I don't have much free time to draw anymore so there's not much in this sketch book. My old one is at home." She says handing it to him.
He flipped through the pages and stopped at a picture she had drawn of two people dancing under the moonlight on a balcony. The woman was in a silk white dress while the man of course, in a nice suit. His eyes were hidden but he was smiling and the woman's eyes were bright with happiness.
"I like this one. If you color it, you should paint it. To make it more life like." he said and she nodded. "Thank you. I will." she said, watching as he took out his phone and snapped a picture of the drawing as well as a few others for his sister.
"Why are you single?" blurted Kyubey suddenly and Touya blinked before laughing, making her blush. "I..I don't know. I just haven't found someone I've liked since high school. I mean I've been on some dates but they weren't very fun. So I kinda just focus on work for now. I wouldn't mind being with someone, I just haven't found the right person I suppose." he explained and she tilted her head. "That makes sense."
"What about you? Are you and that Keigo person dating?" he asked and now she felt somewhat embarrassed.
He did hear.
"N-No. I don't have a boyfriend or anything. I guess I haven't found someone I like either. Keigo is sweet but he can't keep a girlfriend and he's kinda arrogant. He's cute but we're just close friends." she explained and noticed that Touya seemed more relaxed with her response.
"I'm glad you're not rushing into things. I hope you find someone to your liking." he said and she blushed, looking at him. "Yeah..you too. I'm surprised you aren't with someone..I mean.." she trailed off, looking him over and he couldn't help but smirk. "It isn't always about attraction. It's about personality too." he said and she decided to be bold as she pulled him further into her so that she was against the desk and he was leaning over her.
His eyes widened and he swallowed when she leaned in.
"Yes but you're attractive and seem to have a nice personality as well." she murmured and he shuddered, gripping the desk tightly so she was trapped by his arms on either side. "Kyubey." he stated, his eyes never leaving hers and she gave him an innocent stare. "Yes sir?" his pants tightened and he ignored his lustful feelings as he backed away.
"Thank you for saying so. But I'm fine alone for now." he said and she sighed under her breath, a little bit irritated and disappointed.
He's your teacher. she scolded herself. But she kind of..didn't care.
The room was silent, until the bell rang and Kyubey realized she had forgotten about her food. "I need to get my lessons together. See you later Kyubey." he said and she hummed. "See you.." she said as he left, glancing back at her just once before finally leaving.
