Kyubey sat through her classes, trying hard to focus on her work. Still managing to do the paperwork and bookwork that was handed to her by her teachers, but when it was time for English class. She found herself clenching her legs slightly. She tapped her pen against her desk, getting a little impatient as she waited for Touya to arrive at her class.
I know he told me not to sketch in class but I'm impatient. And I did finish the work.
She thought but as soon as she reached for her sketch pad the classroom door slid open, revealing Touya on the other side. He was holding a couple of folders and some other lose papers. He looked slightly annoyed as he stepped into the class shutting the door behind him. The other students in the room immediately quite down once they saw him walk behind the desk.
"Alright no role call, I already know all your names. Pass in your homework please." he called firmly and Kyubey swallowed at his demanding tone. A few of the girl students had blushed and Kyubey could guess what they were thinking because she was thinking the same thing. Kyubey fished her paper out of her bag and passed it up along with the other students.
Someone raised their hand and Touya nodded distractedly.
"Are you okay Mr. Todoroki?" they asked and he ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah. Just agitated. Don't worry about it." he replied briefly and Kyubey frowned, noticing how tense he seemed. Once all the homework was collected, he placed it to the side and wrote the next lesson on the board. Which would be Shakespeare. "Open your books."
Kyubey couldn't focus most of the time and by the time the class had ended, Touya seemed exasperated. "Kyubey, stay after class please." he said and there were murmurs around as her face reddened and she nodded in response. Touya sighed and finished writing their assignment on the board just as the bell rang. People wrote down their instructions quickly, then left with their friends, Kyubey staying in her seat.
Once the room had cleared out, it was just her and Touya. Alone.
He rubbed his temples before coming around the desk and approaching her. "Doll, what was that?" he muttered lowly, his eyes dark and her own eyes widened, confused. "What do you mean?" she stammered and he frowned. "Why were you so distracted? You barely got an answer right." he stated and she found herself frowning now. "Because I was worried about you. You seemed really upset." she said and his expression fell.
His eyes softened and he sighed, laughing a little. "Sorry. Anger is one emotion I still can't hide too well." he muttered and she smiled gently. "Would you like to talk about it?" she asked and he hesitated. "It's not a big deal.." he said, tensing up when she stood now, sitting on the desk and pulling him in close, wrapping her arms around his neck.
His heart raced and he swallowed as her sweet scent washed over him.
"If it upsets you, it is." she murmured, caressing his cheek gently and he couldn't help but lean into the touch, his eyes closing.
"My..real father keeps contacting my mom. He's a dick and a deadbeat and he definitely doesn't deserve her. That's why they divorced. But he keeps trying to get into our lives and it's pissing me off." he explained lowly and Kyubey frowned. "That is annoying. I'm sorry he keeps getting in the way." she said and Touya hummed, groaning lowly when she began playing in his hair.
Her insides felt hot with the noise and she tried not to let it show as he leaned in a little closer, leaning against her. "Thanks. But I need to keep it at home. He just keeps calling my phone from random numbers. As if I want to talk that asshole." he muttered and Kyubey hummed. "It's okay. I'm sure it'll all die down soon."
"Yeah when I get a restraining order." and Kyubey giggled at that.
It was silent for a moment, Touya enjoying Kyubey's touch, until it dawned on him what was happening.
But she felt so nice pressed against him..
Kyubey frowned slightly when he finally pulled away from her. "We shouldn't be doing this." He said softly. Kyubey frowned slightly and looked away somewhat embarrassed. "I know...but. I just can't help it. You're so nice to me and you know.." she mumbled and he sighed.
"I know. I can't really stop thinking about you either. But we have to keep this a teacher, student friendship. Only friendship. Okay? You should be dating someone your age. A student. That.. Keigo kid maybe? And I should go for an older woman..you know?" he said gently and she nodded, though her heart ached and she felt a little agitated. It wasn't fair that he was her teacher. He was just her type.
Touya noticed her expression and tilted her chin up.
"You know if you weren't my student I'd definitely want to get closer to you." he said and she blushed, biting her lip. "What if I don't want to be just friends." she stated and he gave her a firm stare. "Kyubey."
She didn't respond and he frowned. "Just friends." he stated again and she nodded but in her head she had other ideas.
"Okay." she said and he relaxed, giving her a smile. "Good..thanks for calming me down though..it helped." he said and she giggled. "You're welcome. I should leave now though." she said, standing and grabbing her things. He hummed and as she walked away, she left a quick kiss on his cheek, stopping him in his tracks. His eyes widened and she skipped away before he could scold her.
