Mila got out of her room for some alone time. She didn't know that Massimo was there, it was extremely early, to early for visitors. But she rolled her way around. She soon found a room where a piano was. Unaware that she was being followed.
She rolled up to it, and moved the stool that was in front of it and moved her wheelchair in its place. She poked the keys to test it out before she started to play some music. Soon, random words came out of her mouth as she played random keys. Her words sad, as was her tone of singing.
She sighed deeply as she finished the song with a few notes. And closed the lid to the keys before laying on it with her arms as a pillow. She was sad.
She wanted out of this country and get back to her old life. Maybe figure out what happened to her so the person who put her here can be put to justice. She didn't remember much. She didn't even remember what she was doing before it happened. She just remembered waking up in the hospital in pain.
"I didn't know you played, let alone sing." She jumped and turned to see Massimo leaning against the doorframe looking at her. She cleared her throat and rubbed the back of her throat. "I learned the piano years ago. And I was in choir." She said a bit embarrassed.
Massimo walked over to her. "Well, you're good at it. Who wrote the song?" He asked her. "I kinda did. It just popped into my head." She told him. "You're very talented." He praised her. She gave a small smile. "Thanks Masi." She used the old nickname she used when they were younger.
He grinned hearing her call him that. She couldn't say his name so that became his new name for her. He didn't remember how much he missed her calling him that till now. "You remember the name you use to call me." He said, amused.
She cracked a grin as well.
"I didn't forget everything in the accident." She responded. He nodded. "Let's get you back. It's still too early for you to be awake." He told her. She shook her head no. "I don't want to go back to sleep." She would have nightmares, but never remembered it when she woke up. Just that it made her wake up in a cold sweat.
She didn't know if maybe it was about what got her admitted to the hospital in the first place or not. But it never stopped. He frowned. He could tell what she was thinking as her reason, so he didn't argue with her.
He knew she needed to sleep. But wasn't going to push it. Once she was back home with him, she will not have to worry about nightmares. He will make sure that she has peacefully nights rest.
He will make sure she was never scared.
He took her back to her room and helped her back into bed. She looked over at him. "What is the real reason that you keep coming back here?" She asked him. "You can see I'm fine. You don't need to keep coming back to check on me." She told him
Good. Her parents haven't told her what his plans were.
"I was married. Her name was Laura. I loved her dearly. But my twin got in the way and she divorced me. She married the man who tried to kill me. She died having his child here at this hospital." Massimo told her.
She raised an eyebrow waiting for him to continue.
"I came here and found out about her death. That's when your father found me. I came to check on you.... I decided I was going to keep you. So, I'm checking in on my future wife." He told her simply.
Her eyes widened. Who the hell does he think he is!? Telling her he's making her his wife! He reached over and took her hand, but she jerked it away. "You're insane." She snapped at him. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"In what way?" He asked her sitting down on the bed.
"You think that just cause you say I'm going to be your wife, doesn't make it so!" She told him angerly. "Well. You don't really have a choice in this matter Mila. I want you. So, I will have you." He told her simply. As if he was talking about the weather outside.
She shook her head.
"I'm not going to be your wife. I'm not someTHING that you think you can just own! I am a human being! I chose who I will marry and who I won't!" She told him, angerly. "Get out! And don't come back! I don't want to see you again!" She shouted and started hitting him with her pillow. Wanting him gone.
How dare he say things like that as if she was some form of property that he can buy and own! She wasn't his to own. And never will be.
"I will be back later." He told her, taking the pillow and putting it down at her feet. He then grabbed her face, and before she could start screaming again, he kissed her deeply. Their first of many kisses with each other.
She froze under his grip. He nipped her lip, making her gasp and open for his invading tongue that now claimed her mouth. She tried to pull away, but he wouldn't allow her to. He pulled away and she slapped him.
His head moved with the slap. She took deep breaths as she glared at him. This reminded him of when Laura first arrived in his home. But this isn't Laura. Laura is dead and didn't love him. She didn't love him. She couldn't have if she left him like she did!
He turned and looked at her. She kept glaring at him. "That was a naughty thing to do to your husband." He told her. "I will have to punish you when you are mine." He told her getting up. He fixed his suit and walked away.
"Go rot." She told him as he walked out of the room.
He stopped at the door for a moment, before he went and left. He walked to his car. "Drop the breakfast off, and then I need to start planning her moving in." He told his men. The nodded. Always going to do what he ordered of them.
