Spring of 18 (pt 3)

Prom count down had officially begun and I still have neither a date nor a dress. Hailey had about a month until then and honestly, she was starting to panic a little about what she was going to. While last year she had chosen not to attend in favor of a fun night with Noah. But honestly, she wasn't sure about what she was going to do this year while the rest of her friends had an idea Hailey had no idea. She and Noah had yet to talk since what happened a few weeks ago. As it was getting closer she was honestly getting nervous. This was a topic was once again panicked the moment that lunch started. From what she could grasp almost everyone in their group except for Casey, Nash, Noah, and her were for sure attending. Hailey was nearing starting to panic when Casey opened his mouth. "So Noah and Hailey what are your plans for prom," he asked with a smirk on his face.

"Why aren't you two blowing it off," Noah asked?

"Yes in fact we are hosting an anti-prom so if you feel like skipping you two could always come together to our event"

"And see you two making out in front of us no thanks"

"It's not my fault that someone can't keep his hands off me"

"Too much information," Hailey said covering her ears.

"Fine, so what's it going to be? Yes or no?"

"Well considering nobody is likely going to ask me I might as well. But I swear if you two make out in front of me I will leave"

"Again it's not my fault that he can't keep his hands off me"

"Again too much detail"

"Mature much"

"I don't care there are just some things I don't want to hear so sue me"

"On the topic of someone asking I thought that," Casey had started before Noah had put a hand on his mouth. Once he did though he turned into an angry chihuahua Noah let go. "Now as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted I thought that N," Casey had stated once again before Noah once again put his hand on his mouth. Casey then glared at Noah again. Leaving Hailey curious about who might ask her. Finally, after Noah uncovered Casey's mouth Casey glared at him again. "Do that again and I swear you will regret it now as I was saying I thought Noah was planning to ask you out to prom"

"Casey," Noah said.

"Come on I am flipping tired of you two playing chicken I mean it is tiring watching you two"

"This coming from the two people who did it just as much," Noah said.

"Yes, but look at us we are together aren't we?"

"Yes but", Noah had started before Casey put his finer on Noah's mouth.

"No but you two we have elsewhere to be"

"Do we want to know where?"

"Who knows," Casey said with a smirk before leaving Noah and Hailey alone.

"So that was strange", Noah said.

"Those two have always been weird"

"Yeah so about what Casey said you don't have to requite it seriously"

While blushing Hailey slowly took Noah's hand from beside him. "Let me say something before you assume things. I was going to say that I wouldn't mind going to prom if you wanted," she said her face red as she tried to say and get the right words out.

"It doesn't have to be prom it either could be either the anti-prom thing or our own thing. I would just like to be with you no matter what it is," Noah said his face red as well.

Well, I wouldn't mind doing something with you too so yeah," Hailey said as the two eat and said nothing until the silence was broken by a question.

"Mind if I ask when you started liking me because for me it was freshmen year", Noah asked.

"Sophmore year for me"

"So around the same time?"

"Yeah"

The two blush as they went through this as if they hadn't known each other for years." God, how are we so bad at this," Noah asked?

"Maybe because we both barely date"

"Yeah but even Casey was better he started dating"

"Yeah but you've met Casey right?"

"Yeah"

"So are we going to tell them about this," Noah asked referring to their friends.

"Knowing Casey I am sure they will know by the end of the day"

"Yeah," Noah said and through the rest of lunch, the two sat in silence as they tried to come up with something anything. Until they decided in the end they would have a regular date rather than dance to loud music or hang out with Casey and Nash. By the end, Hailey had both a new boyfriend and a date to look forward to because no longer would she be pinning for him now they were finally something. No longer alone but together as she had their first date to look forward to. But in the back of her mind, she worried of what would happen when it came to graduation but she could worry about that later, for now, she was just going to enjoy the fact that Noah liked her back and that was perfect for Hailey right at that moment.

A/N: I know this is way shorter than my usual chapter but at least I got a confession out of them at first I was going to do the usual angst but I felt that if I did another one it might be plot armor so I was like why not have Casey blurt things out because that is who he is. So yeah we have both their date and graduation. I won't be covering that much since I don't know much about certain college processes so yeah there is that. Anyway that is all I have to say for now see you all next update.
