"Wassup baby gurl. I missed you soooo much!", I said spinning her around in my arms.

"Hey dad," AJ whispered hugging my side.

I put Kiyah down and glanced at Myiah. My mouth dropped open. She was................ She was pregnant. I looked down at her. Her stomach slightly bulging out of the blue t-shirt she was wearing.

"Ya'll go in the house. Let mommy and daddy talk," I said, walking towards her. Her hair was straight and now dyed a sandy brown. Her hips and thighs hugged the dark blue jeans she was wearing. On her feets were gray roshes and around her neck was a silver chain.

The ground held her gaze. "Miyah," I said softly, not taking my eyes off her stomach. "I missed you". Slowly walking to her to hug her small body.

"Yea, I missed you too," she giggled. She accepted my hug, intaking my scent.

"Is it mine?" I asked. The question lingered in the air for a few moments.

"No, It's not your August. I'm so sorry," she admitted, tears slipping down her cheek.

I tensed up. The word hit me hard. Her tears stained my shirt. Her soft cries turned into hiccups. "August I'm sorry."

"Who's is it," I questioned. She didn't answer me. "Myiah, who's is it?" I asked a little more sternly.

"You don't know him," she whispered.

"I didn't ask you that. Nie did I?.. Who's is it?" I repeated, breaking the hug.

"A guy named Hakeem. I met him a few months after you went in," she recalled.

"What tha fuck Miyah! I know we weren't together, but you didn't have to go do no shiesty shit like dat! How tha fuck you gone take care of our kids and you havin'I  another baby by another nigga?" I yelled with my NOLA accent coming out strong and thick.

"You did this to us! You wouldn't be in this predicament if you would have been there for me when I needed you. All you did was fuck me over and beat my ass for nothing. This is your fault August, not mine," She cried out, startling me. I didn't think she'd ever raise her voice at me. More tears rained on her carmel face.

"Leave the girl alone, August," my mother said. I didn't notice come out of the house. She walked to Miyah gently wrapping her arms around her.

"I'm okay mama. I'll come back later to get the twins," she sighed and let go of her embrace. I watched her enter her car and pull off.

I yelled out in frustration and walked back to my childhood home. I looked down to see kiy sitting down playing with her cousin."Daddy I made you some pictures," she yelled pulling out her binder. In it was a lot of coloring pages and pictures.

"Imma hang them up in my office, Kiyah" I chuckled.

"August can I see you in the kitchen for a minute?" my mama requested. I nodded and sigh heavily, walking behind her to the large kitchen area.

"August you know this isn't her fault. You brought this upon yourself. You made the choices, not her. You broke your family up. And its up to you to fix it. When you do fix it you have to accept the child she's carrying too. You'll have to raise it as if it were your own. Stop feeling bad for yourself when you are the problem," she yelled.

"Okay mama, but its like-"

"No 'buts'. End of discussion," she interrupted.
