I am so sorry to make you think this was an update; but I have to decide it would be best to write an author's note because there are a couple of things I need to get off my chest.

Since the last time I published, I have gotten messages saying that I better make Y/N and Jean sleep together in my upcoming chapter and basically threatening to stop reading if I don't and also that I have poor pacing and it needs to be fixed.

Okay, Bambi is a slow burn. I have stated this multiple times for a reason. My book is currently holding at 13 chapters, and it is expected to be around 40. This means that this is just the beginning.

Y/N and Jean have only known each other for a couple of weeks. Them getting together at this point would defeat the entire purpose of both their characters and my plot.

If you are expecting a NSFW warning at the beginning of the next chapter, it won't be found. If that upsets you, then I'm sorry, but if you want a book based on smut, I suggest maybe looking elsewhere.

This fanfiction does not focus solely on Jean and Y/N's relationship. It is intended to also be about the relationships Y/N forms with her friends and her journey of finding herself again, which takes a lot of time and effort to develop.

I am trying my best to create these connections in the hope that all of you can feel immersed and attached to my story as much as possible.

It can be extremely frustrating and disheartening when I receive messages like this because it makes me feel like my hard work of trying to build this world is being overlooked with the desire for smut. It also makes me feel pressurized to do something that I don't want to with my story, which makes it harder for me to want to continue to write and feel somewhat confident in what I do.

Please remember that I am just a college student who decided to start this for fun, so try and be considerate of my feelings before sending me stuff like this.

Also, while I have you here, I want to note that I have tried my best to write the AOT characters as close to canon as possible. However, there are going to be a couple of them that I am going to need to really twist in order to get my envisioned storyline to work.

So, please, when the time comes, don't tell me "so and so would never do this." Trust me, I know. It's the same that I don't believe canon Jean would sleep around and be an ass like I've made his character to be at the beginning of this fic. It is all a part of my story that I have created. Please be understanding of this.
