To be honest, I forget exactly what they said in the video, so if I get some stuff wrong I'm sorry in advance.
Matt Sturniolo POV
I kept my eyes on the cups as I kept trying to throw the ping pong ball in. One more left, and then I win. Unfortunately, that's not how it went. Chris ended up shooting his last ball in the cup and won the whole finale. I won't lie that I was kind of disappointed. But Chris was overjoyed with his win. So overjoyed, in fact, that he threw his ping pong ball at my face. I threw my head back slightly, startled, before cupping my hand around my mouth where the pain began to pulse. Chris hollered in excitement, jumping up and down, but I left the room to examine the small injury in the bathroom. I winced once I looked in the mirror to see blood slowly dripping down my top lip. The cut doesn't look too bad, but it's bad enough for it to hurt. The cut is pretty deep, too. I splashed some water on it to clean it up, hissing in pain as I did so. I took a deep breath before returning to the kitchen to finish the video. I don't remember much of what we said, but we finished the video after a few finishing words and whatnot. That's when my mind fully returned to the slowly growing pain in my lip. It must've shown on my face, because Nick and Chris stopped to talking to look at me with brotherly concern.
"Matt, you okay?" Nick questioned.
"Yeah, I'm good," I returned, almost forgetting about the cut to smile.
That made me actually hiss in pain again. Touching the cut and drawing my hand back, I can now see that it's bleeding, again.
"Did I really hit you that hard?" Chris asked, taking a closer look.
"It's probably nothing," I denied as he leaned in to stare at it.
"Matt, stop talking," Chris ordered.
With a sigh, I obeyed his wishes and remained silent. After Chris retracted from my face, he shot a look towards Nick before turning back to me.
"That cut's pretty deep," he commented.
"Yeah, so?" I pursed my lips.
"It also goes past the lip," Nick added on.
"I don't understand what you're getting at," I shook my head.
"It looks like it needs stitches," Chris said finally.
"Stitches?" I glanced between the two. "You don't know that. I'm fine."
"Matt, you should probably get that checked out just in case," Nick told me.
"No," I stated, stubbornly.
"Matt, you leave me no choice," Chris sighed.
"Wait, what're you-" I began, narrowing my eyes.
"MOM!" he yelled loudly, causing us to close our ears.
Mom came through the hallway with a look on her face.
"Chris, what have I told you about yelling my name for no reason?" she raised an eyebrow.
"But there's actually something wrong this time," Chris replied quickly.
"What is it? Are you hurt?" mom asked in a rush, worry lines etching her face.
"No, it's Matt," Nick answered, motioning towards me. "Chris accidentally hit him in the mouth, and now his lip might need stitches."
"Chris, you really need to think twice before touching your brother," mom sighed. "Let me have a look."
"It's nothing," I tried.
"Matt stop talking," she ordered which made me huff in irritation as she looked at my lip.
With another sigh, mom leaned back.
"Yeah, that'll need stitches," she said.
"Told you," Chris smirked.
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes. "It's not my first time in the hospital anyway."
"It's not the first time Chris sent you there either," Nick chuckled lightly to which Chris punched him in the shoulder.
Long story short, I got stitches in my upper lip that night. Not much to say from that other than I need to be more careful when handling with Chris :)
