The moonlight streamed through the narrow window above Stella's bed, casting a pale glow over her room. She felt it again–the tug in her chest, subtle yet unrelenting, like a thin thread pulling her from the depths of sleep. Not again, she thought bitterly.

This was no new sensation. It had been with her since the moment she set foot in the academy, an elusive energy that whispered to her, beckoning her toward something unknown. If only she could decipher its meaning.

She had been awake for what felt like hours, her mind restless and alert. The whispers of something that only called to her when night fell, when the world around her lay still.

Stella sighed and sat up in her bed, rubbing her eyes, slipping out from under the covers, careful not to wake her roommate, Ruby.

Clad in loose, comfortable sleeping clothes, her hair tangled from restless sleep, She didn't care how she looked. It was the middle of the night, and everyone else was tucked away in their rooms.

With every step she took, the pull grew stronger. It led her as usual towards the library, a place most students avoided after hours. But Stella wasn't like most students. She had always been drawn to places that felt different. The feeling of magic had always been with her, a constant companion.

And tonight, as always, it was drawing her to that forbidden area in the library–a place most students thought was just a rumor or an old legend. Even Ruby, her closest friend, had no idea about her secret spot. It was a hidden corner, surrounded by whispers of strange happenings and eerie stories. But to Stella, it was more than just a place, it was where she could sense the strange energy pulling her out of sleep, calling her each night. It had become her secret spot, one she couldn't resist.

She tiptoed down the corridors, careful not to make a sound. She knew the rules. She knew the risks. But the pull was too strong to ignore. She reached the library doors and pushed them open quietly, the smell of old paper and dust immediately filling her senses. The bookshelves loomed like silent guardians in the shadows, and the atmosphere felt heavy with secrets.

Her heart quickened as she ventured deeper into the maze of shelves. The pull grew stronger, swirling around her like an unseen current. It wasn't fear, but more a sense of anticipation, a tingling feeling that something was just beyond her reach, waiting.

Then, as she reached the farthest corner, it happened. A loud thud shattered the quiet. A book fell from a shelf, the sound echoing through the still air. Stella froze, her breath catching. Her pulse raced as her mind scrambled to make sense of the sudden disturbance. A hiss followed, sharp and low. "Shit." Stella froze again.

No way...

She knew that voice all too well. No mistaking it, the sound of trouble. Unmistakably Jason.

She took a cautious step forward, her eyes narrowing as she scanned the darkened corners of the library.

There, in the shadow of the farthest shelf, stood Jason Davis, his presence a stark contrast to the eerie stillness of the room.

What is he doing here?

Jason was leaning casually against the bookshelf, a smirk playing on his lips as he noticed her. "Well, well. Look who we have here. Sneaking around in the dark, huh?" His voice was light, playful, and it made Stella's frustration bubble up instantly.
