Mother's Day Special

A/N: I made this in a modern AU.

As always, you woke up early. You rubbed your eyes sleepily. You sat up in bed, still waking up.

After a minute, you stepped out of bed and went into your bathroom.

Upon entering, you turned on the light and looked into the mirror. There was drool on the right side of your face and some on the back of your hand.

Your hair was messy.

You shed your clothes and got into the shower. After your shower, you ran your hands through your long hair, letting the water drip.

With a deep exhale, you turned off the shower. You gently wrung the water out of your hair. You grabbed your towel and wrapped it around your bottom half and stepped out of the shower.

You went over to your sink and grabbed your toothbrush and ran it under the water before applying toothpaste to the toothbrush and running it under light water once more.

While you were brushing your teeth, the door to your bathroom opened, revealing your dad.

You looked over, your eyebrows raised questioningly.

"Mm?"

"You know what day it is, right?"

"Mhm."

"Do you know what you're going to get your mother?"

You turned back to the sink and spit the toothpaste out.

"No."

"Then you should figure it out."

"Do you even have anything in mind for her?"

"Of course, I do!" He said, lying through his teeth.

You rolled your eyes before turning back and going back to brushing your teeth.

But one thing was on your mind.

What are you going to get your mother for Mother's Day...?

You sighed through your nose and continued to brush your teeth.

After you had finished getting ready. You grabbed your phone and checked the time.

6:34 AM

You usually woke up this morning, so it was of no surprise, but your dad was never really one for waking up this early.

You just shrugged it off.

You went into the kitchen still thinking of a gift for your mother.

What about breakfast in bed? She'd like that.

You started making your mother's favorite foods, or the ones that you knew of.

After you finished up, you grabbed your phone and checked the time.

7:48 AM

You nodded to yourself; your mother would usually wake up around this time.

You went over to your parent's room and knocked on the door.

Your dad opened the door.

"Is mom up yet?"

"Yeah, she just woke up."

"Good."

You went back to the kitchen, grabbed the tray of food and brought it into your parents' room.

You sat the tray down and then turned on the light.

Your mother had sat up in bed.

"Y/N?"
