"OH."
That's all Cora had said before she had to leave to help some customers. Whom Oli now hated.
After everyone had cleared out, including their boss and the other employees, Cora and Oli gathered a ton of candy and popcorn before going to the best seats in the theater.
"Look, Cor, I'm sorry."
Cora scoffed. "Why?"
Oli stared at her. "Because?"
Cora looked at him. "Because I like you, too."
Oli's eyes widened. "Wait what?"
"So . . . are we gonna kiss or?"
Oli smiled lightly, leaning over the seat. He reached out and pushed some hair behind her ear, leaving their hand lingering. The two were just about to kiss, their lips had barely touched.
"Oh, Cora!"A voice rang out from the lobby of the theater. Cora turned, Oli's hand falling from her face. He muttered something under his breath before he too looked.
The door flew open, spreading light into the dark theater.
As Cora and Oli's eyes adjusted to the light, all they could see was a big, dark shadow.
Cora's eyes adjusted first. "Oh god no . . ."
Oli studied the shadow. "Wait. . .you dated them all, right?"
"So what're you two doing in here? Besides, you know, things you shouldn't be doing,"Mattie smirked a little.
Cora covered her face in her hands. After a second she leaned closer to Oli. "We need to run to the breakroom, now."
Oli nodded, slightly scared. Cora's hand slid down to his.
"Only when I tell you to."
They nodded again.
The exes advanced. "Go."Cora whispered, and Oli quickly got up and ran, pulling Cora along with him. The second they got to the breakroom, Cora slammed the door and locked it, resting her back on it before sliding down. She sat down, sighing quietly.
Oli came and sat by her. "What the heck?"
"I'm sorry."
"Why?"
"They're my exes. They're not going to stop until you are defeated."
"Excuse me?"
Cora nodded.
"Okay, so I have to fight-"
"Defeat."
Oli gave her a weird look. "Okay, defeat your seven evil exes for us to date?"
"Exactly!"
"I don't know, Cor, this seems weird."
"It is."Cora dropped her head onto his shoulder.
Oli sighed quietly. "How hard is this gonna be?"
"Let's see. . . Mattie will be easy, Vienne too, and Robin. Agatha, Skye, CJ, and Nova? Not so much,"Cora said quietly.
Oli nodded. "So. . . ."
Cora bit her lip.
"Come on, Cor. Let's watch a movie."
"What? We can't, they're out there."
"I meant on my laptop. I left it here yesterday."
"Oh," Cora said, laughing softly.
He set it up, picking a random movie.
The two were hesitant at first, sitting next to each other, but within ten minutes of the beginning of the movie, Oli's arms were wrapped around Cora's waist and his head was resting on hers.

The exes dropped in the back row of seats. "Game plan?"Mattie asked.
"We need to lure them out,"Agatha said.
"How?" Vienne asked.
"Rinn,"CJ said.
"What? Who's Rinn?"Mattie asked.
"Only Cora and Oli's boss, who was extremely supportive of Cor and I,"Nova said quickly.
They all looked at her, slightly weirded out. "What? It's true,"She crossed her arms.
"Anyways, CJ is right,"Robin said.
"Who can edit something to sound like her?"Skye asked.
"I can try,"Agatha said, pulling out her phone. Within five minutes they had a sound of Rinn calling for Cora and Oli.
The exes got into position, standing outside. Agatha hid and turned her volume up, playing the sound.
Inside the breakroom, Oli jolted, hearing Rinn. Cora did too, and the pair stood up. Oli opened the door, and the pair walked out to look.
Skye slammed the door behind them. "Idiot,"he scoffed.
The other exes walked into view.
"Come on, Cor, you really thought that was real?"Robin asked.
"I mean . . "Cora started.
"Oh. . .you like him?"CJ asked.
"Hey!"Oli yelled, extremely offended.
"Yes, I do!"Cora said, glaring at the exes. "Is this really necessary, guys?"
"Cora. All of us still love you. Of course it's necessary,"Nova said.
"Alright, pretty boy, give up while you're ahead,"Agatha said.
Oli looked at Cora. "No. I'm gonna fight you all."
Cora stared at him. "Oh my god, please stop."
"Why?"
"Because I want to kiss you more now!"
"Ew,"Skye scoffed.
"So you're ready to die, Oliver?"Robin asked.
"Wait what?"Oli asked.
"It's kind of our job,"Mattie said. "Sorry! But also not."
