[Chapter #6]

YOU WOKE UP, and got ready for the day. Your mother finally went back to take over the shop, so you had alot of free time. With that free time, you decided to spend it with your friends.

- - Y/n's pov - -

"Y/n, breakfast is ready!" My dad called from downstairs. I went to the dining room to see my father's attempt on making eggs for breakfast.

I sat on the chair while my father gave me some water, "Come on, y/n, It's not that bad!" My father said while getting a taste of his cooking, he faked a smile trying to hide how horrible his cooking actually was.

After breakfast I told my dad that I would go outside to take a walk.

While I was strolling around, I found a street food vendor selling some bunuelos. I took some of my pocket money and handed it to the vendor. I thanked them and continue walking.

It has been quite awhile, and I remembered that I had to return the book from afew days ago. I headed to the library near the Casita.

"Hola!" I greeted to the old man who owned the building. I walked closer and handed him my books that I had borrowed. "Buenos dias, y/n." He greeted back. "Is that all you need for today? Do you want to rent another book? We have a new stock that just came awhile ago. I think you'd like it!" He said pointing to the not so far book shelf with the said books. "I'll check it out." I said while walking to the book shelf.

Not much of them really interested me so I just decided to pick a random one. 'I guess this will do.'  I thought, the title seemed pretty interesting.

I went back to the desk with the old man "I'll get this one." I said "Ah, I've read that before, its a very nice story!" The old man said.

After checking the book, he gave it back to me "Gracias, y/n. Have a good day!" He said while I exited the library.

Originally, I was going to hangout with my friends. But instead I decided to go to the nearby forest to read the book for a quick while.

While roaming around the forest, I heard a unfamiliar sound. Me being curious, I walked closer to the said sound.

I hid behind a tree and gave away a few quick glances. The only thing I could make up with those quick glances were; wood, a pocket knife?, And the figures hand.

I took another quick glance, only to be busted by the figure. "I can see you, you know."

I jumped, realizing that he saw me the whole time. 'Carlos!? Why is he here?' I thought.. I walked closer to him, and cautiously placed my book in my bag.

I was about to sit on the log when, Carlos placed his leg onto the fallen down wood. "What do you think you're doing?" He said locking his eyes with mine. "I'm sitting down, obviously." I said while rolling my eyes.

"What makes you think you can, hm?" He said raising a brow. "I just can, now move away, Madrigal." I said, annoyance laced in my tone.

"No." He said blandly. I just gave up and sat on the soft wet grass.

After awhile of just sitting, I decided to get rid of the silence "Is that a tiger?" I said, "..." Nothing?..

"Is that for Antonio?" I said, hopefully he would reply now. "Yeah, who else would it be for?" He said finally sparking up a conversation.

I just took one last glance at his sculpture, before I was going to read my book.

As I was taking it away, Carlos took it first with his free hand. "Hey! Give it back!" I yelled, standing up I tried to reach it, but it was no luck. He also stood up, making it nearly impossible for me to reach it now.

"Why should I?" He said with a sly smirk. "Because!" I reasoned, he lowered his hand. 'Wait, he's actually giving it back?' I thought, 'Maybe, he's not that ba-'

Before I could continue on with my thoughts, he threw my book away! "Run off, conejito." He ordered, that smirk still plastered on his face. I looked at him once again, twitching my eye.

But, I decided to comply with his demands and ran away furiously.
