Six would have growled in frustration if it wasn't such a bad idea. The room she, and to a lesser extent, Seven had dropped into was a storage room right next to where the Janitor was working. Her tail lashed around behind her in discomfort as she watched the Janitor work, before looking over at the cloth draped around the room. After a moment of studying the room closer she turned to Seven, who gave her a worrying look. Six narrowed her eyes at him before gesturing with her head for him to follow her.

Then without warning she jumped from the fabric they'd been standing on onto some right in front of an open cage. The rainwing's head snapped over to the Janitor, watching to see if the deformed dragon, a skywing, had heard anything. When nothing happened she made her way onto the top of the cage, careful not to let her claws clank against the metal. Once atop she swiftly places herself atop the cloth draped over top of the cage. Six looked back just in time to watch Seven just barely able to make it to the cloth. His tail nearly thumping against the floor as he regained his balance.

As Seven started pulling himself up Six came over to help, and he quickly joined her atop the cages. Swiftly she jumped off the cages onto more of the cloth thrown about on the floor, glancing back again at the Janitor to ensure she hadn't made a sound. Seeing that he continued to work, she then turned her attention to Seven. The rainwing moved back and gestured to the hybrid to jump over. Nodding Seven jumped, landing in front of Six. Both dragonets glanced at the Janitor, before quickly making their way through the hole in the wall. Six glanced around the room quietly huffing in annoyance about how dark it was. Seven walked up next to Six, before going to the middle of the room and grabbing a lever. She watched as Seven put the lever into a notch and proceeded to crank it, slowly opening a trap door; and, creating a lot of noise.

Swiftly the rainwing jumped over to Seven and began to help crank the lever, speeding up the opening of their escape. Both dragonets hopped away from the lever and made their way towards the trap door just as the Janitor opened the door to the room to investigate the noise. Without another thought Six wrapped her prehensile tail around Seven's wrist before quickly dragging him towards, and down into, the trapdoor.

The fall down the trapdoor and into the vents was short lived, ending with Six on gloves, and Seven landing on her. The rainwing huffed as she shoved herself up and started climbing through the vents. The clicking of claws behind her was the only way she knew Seven was following. The trip through the vent was short, as they quickly reached the end that overlooked a pit full of gloves. She grimaced at the thought of maneuvering through that pit. The reinforced bottoms of the gloves were gonna make her movement slower.

Six prepared to jump, but the sudden sensation of a claw on her shoulder caused her to stop. She turned and glared at Seven.

"What?" she hissed.

"There's something in there. I saw movement," he looked worriedly down at the pit.

"Are you sure your eyes aren't playing tricks on you?" Six asked as she looked back down at the pit with suspicion.

Seven's look hardened, "I doubt my eyes would be playing tricks on me".

Six hummed in thought. After a moment she turned back, returning with one of the padded gloves in tow. And, tossed it into the pit. A second after the glove landed in the pit with the others, there was slight movement to the fair left.

"I told you," Seven spoke quietly after a moment.

The rainwing rolled her eyes, taking note of the suitcases scattered about the pit. She looked back at Seven, her eyes landing on his wings, "Can you fly across?"

Seven turned to her a bewildered look in his eyes, "What?"

Six narrowed her eyes at him in annoyance, "Can you fly across?"

The hybrid let out a dry, almost hurt, sounding laugh, "No. I can't, what makes you think I could?"

"Maybe the fact neither of your wings are bandaged or seem injured," she dead panned back.

Seven shook his head, "So? Do you think I've had time to learn or teach myself between escape attempts?"

Six scowled before jumping down onto a suitcase right below the vent without another word. She landed with a light thump, another one followed after. Both dragents seeming fine with dropping the conversation for the time being. Wordlessly they jumped into the gloves, quickly maneuvering their way to the next suitcase. Even when whatever was in the pit with them started after them, they ignored it in favor of focusing on the task at hand. A survival tactic both dragenets had seemed to pick up on their time on the Maw to keep from panicking.

Before Six even knew it she was climbing up to safety on the other side of the room, Seven not being fair behind. She turned just as Seven began to pull himself out of the gloves. When something yanked on him.

The rainwing hadn't even processed the fact she'd grabbed his claws, until she was already trying to pull him out. Whatever was in the glove pit had Seven, and now Six was playing a game of tug-o-war with it, with Seven as the rope. The rainwing looked down at their claws trying to focus her mind on just pulling.

Then her mind started playing tricks on her. For a brief moment everything around her changed. The pit became an endless abyss inside some kind of cave. The suitcase she was once standing on was now a ledge and Seven- She wasn't holding Seven's claw. She was holding some unknown dragonet's. A rusted brown claw with some black plated scales replaced the pale gray blue and white of Seven's.

'Drop him. He'll slow you down. He is no use to you now. You're better off alone anyhow. Drop him. Drop him. Drop him-'

Six shut her eyes and yanked as hard as she could. Seven yelped as he was pulled out of the monster's grip and landed on Six. Quickly he scrambled off her, and they both made their way onto the solid platform. Both dragents were out of breath. Six looked over at the hybrid, who was shaking and gasping in air like he was just about to drown, only to be dragged to the surface in time. Six turned her attention to the floor, trying to wrap her head around what just happened. It was as if her reality had momentarily shifted to some kind of dream.

"Thanks..." Seven said between breaths as he looked up to meet Six's eyes. The rainwing in turn just nodded. Acknowledging the statement, but not saying anything.

After another moment of trying to regain her breath Six stood up straight and walked into the next room, Seven's claws clicking behind.
