Unexpected [ To Be Continued ]

Chapter 3

I am on my lunch break along with the class that I'm teaching. Supposed to be a lunch break, since I forgot my food, tinuloy ko nalang ang powerpoint na ginagawa ko.

Matatapos ko na ang powerpoint ng maramdaman kong may tumabi sa akin. I looked to see who was it and I saw Allie, handing me a biscuit. Kinuha ko naman 'yon at nagpasalamat.

"So, Miss Valdez. Did you get my email?" Sabi niya. Tumango naman ako.

"Nag reply ako. Nakita mo ba?" Umiling naman siya.

"I replied to the email you sent. You must've been busy about things" I said. "How's everything going with you and your family?" I asked her.

"Good, so far. Tired of the shits I've been hearing." I glared at her. "Sorry. I just can't take it anymore. I'm sick of their voices. It's like they never get tired of talking about kinds of stuff" She rolled her eyes. Nang matapos ko ang powerpoint ko, kinain ko na ang biscuit na  binigay niya sakin.

"Okay, you will be living with me for 2 months. But, make sure na sasabihin mo sa parents mo. I don't want them to get worried." She nodded.

Just finished my last class of the day. I got to my car and went to a nearby mall and bought a  Frappuccino from Starbucks. I also bought some papers, pens, tapes and many school supplies for my table sa room ko. I passed by the grocery so I decided to buy some foods kasi I ran out of food yesterday.

Since Allie will be with me for the next two months. I cleaned the house and prepared the room she was going to sleep in. She will be sleeping in my room while I sleep on the sofa sa sala.

3pm nang makarating si Allie sa bahay. Hinatid siya ng personal driver nilang family. She dropped her bag sa room ko and I let her watch some TV.

"Allie, what do you want for your meryenda?" I asked while I'm looking at the fridge. "Just bread with egg po, Miss Caly. If that's okay" Sabi niya. "It's fine with me. By the way, drop the miss, call me Ate Caly" I smiled and she smiled back.

"Ay Ate Caly, ako nalang pala mag prepare ng meryenda. You sit sa couch and watch some Netflix and wait for me to finish" Sabi naman niya.

Nag play ako sa Youtube ng mga minus one songs for me to sing. I jammed to some Little Mix songs like Secret Love Song, Love Me Like You and Love Me Or Leave Me.

While singing the finale part of Love Me Or Leave Me, I suddenly remembered that I still have a PowerPoint to finish. I turned off the TV and opened my laptop.

"A sudden work po, Ate? Eat your meryenda first po" Rinig kong sabi ni Allie pero hindi ako nagsalita dahil sa pagmamadali ko. I saw Allie put the plate beside my laptop and I smiled at her.

"You're like my Tito Grayson. But, he's a guy" What she said caught my attention that made me stop typing. "He's a workaholic. Like, there never came a day na nakapag day off siya something like that."

I've always been wondering who is this Grayson. Maybe, this is the time for me to ask some questions about her family if she wants.

"At some point, i think bagay kayo ni Tito." My eyes widened when I heard her say that. "You're both busy people. Like, work is life. No time for love life anything like that." I went back to typing nang mabanggit niya ang love life.

"Have you ever had a boyfriend, Miss Caly?" Sabi niya. I looked at her at inusog ko ng konti ang laptop ko and looked at her eyes. "I did have a boyfriend once. But, he cheated on me." Sabi ko.
