Crash! Bang! Slash!
The sounds of a battle roared on the small island, as Ayumi slept in peace on the Ora Jackson. When the third day of the battle had come, Ayumi walked onto the deck, noting that everyone headed toward the deepest part of the island to continue the battle after resting. She then jumped off the deck and started to run into the island, listening to the cries of battles between the two crews. Though she wasn't too worried, she knew her students well enough to understand what this battle really was. Just a little rough housing is all.
Boom! A shot rang, Ayumi following the path that the bullet made towards a young boy.
"Mononosuke!" Then Ayumi ran to the young boy that was targeted by a bullet, shielding him using her body. She grunted as the bullet pierced her back, landing dangerously near her heart. The battle between Roger and Newgate fell silent as Ayumi dropped to the ground, bleeding from her back and speaking whispers to Mononosuke who cried at the shock.
"I'm okay." She whispered. "Just give me a second and I'll be as fresh as a daisy." She breathed heavily, feeling the bullet being pushed out, as the wound healed.
As the scene of a white-haired girl bleeding on the ground in front of a young boy ensued, the captains of both crews looked at the man with the gun. He, who wasn't a member of either crews but was a marine that survived the battle between the Marines and the Roger Pirates, had aimed to kill an innocent boy with his gun. Shot their teacher, someone who they considered as family, as nakama in front of them. He had sealed his fate as both captains had charged at the man and brutally slaughtered him.
Now back at the scene, away from the slaughter happening, a samurai walked up to Mononosuke and Ayumi, picking them both up and ran to the Moby Dick to get them medical help.
"Thank you." The samurai cried. "For saving Mononosuke."
"Don't worry about it." Ayumi groaned. "I'd do it again for the family of my students."
"Students?"
"Yes... Roger, Rayleigh, Garp, Newgate, and..." Ayumi listed sleepily. "Also, there's no need to be worried about my injuries, get your son checked first."
"But the bullet-" Clank. The bullet fell out of Ayumi's wound and the skin sealed itself, making the wound disappear like it never happened. "How?"
"You get used to pain as an immortal, young man." Ayumi breathed, pain dissipating as the samurai approached the large whale ship. "Especially in this world when you are considered a monster in the eyes of the people."
"I see... I am Kozuki Oden, the head of the Kozuki Clan in Wano. May I get the honor of knowing yours?"
"My name is Ayumi." She stated, as returned back to normal. "I'm surprised how you restrained yourself from attacking that marine, that aimed at your son."
"Well I know that Newgate will handle it in my stead." Oden started. "But I heard of someone of your description from a poneglyph written by Joy Boy... Who are you, Ayumi?"
"Someone who has lived for too long, Oden. However, I'm someone who wants to continue to live for the sake of protecting those I care about." Oden then landed on the deck of the Moby Dick, immediately heading to the medical ward. Nurses surrounded them as the sight of a bloody Ayumi made them get to work right away.
Having Ayumi set on a bed, Oden was ushered out as the nurses began their examination on Ayumi. Figuring out where and how she was injured.
