I thought about what Camron said about my situation and he's right. I need to focus on my marriage and fix things with Robyn. I don't know how I'm going to do that with Clair and her beautiful legs at the office everyday, but I have to start somewhere. I started by taking the day off on Monday so I can attempt to rekindle things with Robyn. I've messed up many times within the last couple of weeks and so I have to make it up to her. She is my number one priority now.
I was a bit upset when she said she needed to go for her run and said that I couldn't come. I took the day off for her and she leaves for a run with the other ladies she sees every morning. I decided to not hold a grudge since I've done worse things to her. I decided that while she is out of the house I will take this time to clean up and maybe run to the store to get her some flowers, maybe a bottle of wie and her favourite chocolates. So I did.

After I finished cleaning up I showered and made my way to the store. Down the chocolate aisle. I couldn't decide on what to pick so I grabbed one of everything. I moved fast before bumping into someone and dropping my handful of chocolates.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there" I said as I rushed to pick up my chocolates. I had no time to spare.
"Enzo?" Clairs voice sent chills through my body and I froze. I looked at her as she wore a purple running jacket with black yoga pants, her hair pulled into a high ponytail.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the office?" I said as I gathered my things and stood up to look at her.
"I'm going in later. Had a little bit of an emergency" she smiled and looked down before whipping her head back up to look at me. "Shouldn't you be at the office? Don't you go in at like six in the morning? You do realise it's 10:00 right?" she giggled, teasingly.
"I took the day off. Had a bit of an emergency myself." I looked at my handful of chocolates for my wife.
"Why all the chocolates?' she asked as she reached over and grabbed two hershey bars. Do I tell her? Is this part of fixing things? If I tell her they are for my wife she'll know how I lied to her and cheated on Robyn.
"I just love chocolates," I smiled. "And you?" I asked, pointing at her hand.
"I'm a woman, I live for chocolates." she giggled. God her giggle was like a drug.
"Well I should let you grab what you need. I'll see you tomorrow at the office ''I said as I started walking past her.
"Wait, Enzo.." she called. I turned around. "Are you avoiding me?" She tilted her head and looked serious.
"Why would you think that?"
"That's not an answer. Last night when I called it felt like you were rushing to get off the phone. And now you're not coming into the office after we made plans for lunch" she walked closer and placed her hand on my arm. "Did I ruin things?" her eyes were locked into mine.
"Clair, you could never ruin anything" I said as I smiled.
"You sure?" She blinked twice as she looked up at me. She knew what she was going to do. God she's evil. And I still love her. I pulled her in closer, not caring that we were in a public space.
"Clair, I love you" I said as we moved closer. Her soft lips kissed mine so passionately that I forgot we were in a grocery store. I didn't care. I loved her. I said it. I love Clair. I. Love. Clair. I felt so good to be here with her. Our lips parted and she smiled.
"I'll see you tomorrow" she smiled before walking away. My smile faded. Clair. Doesn't. Love. Me.

I wandered the grocery store for flowers and a stuffed bear for Robyn with a lot less joy than before. I confessed my love for Clair and she couldn't say it back. I just wanted to grab what I needed and go.
When I entered the stuffed animal aisle I saw her again. I thought about approaching her but I didn't know what I'd say. Hey, I still love you. Hey, what I said back there, it was an accident. Hey, so we should go out for dinner. Nothing was right for the moment so I just went and grabbed a stuffy before I saw that Clair wasn't alone. She was with another woman. A woman who had the same sweater as Robyn. And the same shoes and pants and same hair. I looked at her hands to find the ring I gave to Robyn when I proposed to her. It wasn't there. I started to walk off. It wasn't my wife. My wife's at home. Not with clair. Until I heard the voice that said her vows to me on Mart 11'th 2015.
"I have to show this to Kayla," she said. I turned around quickly and without any thought I spoke loudly.
"Robyn?" I said. She turned and looked at me along with Clair. My wife is with Clair. I walked closer as Clairs face turned into confusion. "You two know each other?" I said.
"You two know each other?' Both Clair and Robyn said at the exact same time.
"Wait. Wait a fucking second. What?" Robyn said. Her eyes darted to the floor and she began to shift her weight from one foot to another. Without realising it I was doing the same thing. "How do you know Clair?" She looked at me. I looked at Clair and then back at Robyn.
"We work together," I said. How do you two know each other?" I asked.
"We run together," Robyn said.
"Oh, fuck" Clair said under her voice as she looked at the floor shaking her head.
"CPlair are you ok?" Robyn said as she put a hand on Clair's shoulder.
"How do you two know each other?" She said. Robyn and I both looked at eachother. Neither of us said a word. Robyn's eyes widened as she looked at me.
"Are you guys more than colleagues?" she asked. I couldn't look at her so I looked at Clair. "Oh my god" Robyn looked down.
"Are you two more than running buddies?" I blurted. No response. "Oh my fucking god" I raised my voice.
"Shhh, we need to talk about this," Clair said.
"Let's go back to our place I guess" Robyn said as she grabbed the stuff out of my hands and put them back on the shelf. We began to walk  to my car and drive to our house.
