Your POV:
You woke up like any ordinary day, took a shower, and got ready for another day of work. You went to go wake up your 4 year old daughter Autumn. It was hard being a single mom and it didn't help that you constantly thought about your ex. You loved being a mom
And you loved your daughter but she was a spitting image of her dad. It was a constant reminder of him. The man that caused you great anxiety and anxiety attacks. The more you tried to move on the worse things seemed to get. There was always something pulling you back to thinking about him.*Flashback*
"I can't believe you Hayden! You fucking cheated on me! We have a 1 year old daughter! Your a dad! Start acting like one!" You yelled.
"Whatever! Get out of my face!" He yelled back leaving slamming the front door.
*end of flashback*
You were disrupted by your thoughts hearing mommy from Autumn.
"Hm? Oh I'm sorry sweetie. Of course you can have the pink bows in your hair today"
You finished fixing Autumns hair then headed out the door to walk her to school.Your boss told you that you were working on a new story about a new series. You loved your job. Being a journalist was all you ever wanted to be growing up. Getting lost in your thoughts when you wrote was the best feeling ever and a distraction from your ex.
When you asked your boss more about the project he said it was a surprise. Of course this was weird to you but you shrugged it off and kept moving. You loved your boss he was more like a friend than a boss. He knew all about the divorce and your feelings towards it. He knew about the constant anxiety and the attacks you would get. You were glad you had someone to confide in. After all being a single parent doesn't leave you much time for the dating world or even the friend world.
You grabbed a cup of coffee on your morning walk to the building where you worked.
You got in and went to your desk. Your boss came up behind you.
"Hey y/n are you ready for today?"
"Absolutely but what series is this for again? And are we going somewhere?" You asked seeing the keys in his left hand.
"Like I said before it's a surprise"
You rolled your eyes as this was now the second time he wouldn't tell you. You knew he had to be hiding something. You went downstairs with David and got in a company car. As you both were in the backseat, he told you that you would be interviewing actors for a new series and that you would be in charge of writing the article. Soon both of you arrived at a big grey building. This was exciting but also nerve racking. You had to make sure this article was extremely good so people would be hyped.
When you both arrived you got out of the car and your boss, David went and talked to what looked like a producer. You decided to go use the bathroom as this could be a very long and busy day.
"Hey David"
"Hey so Um she still doesn't know"
"Are you serious? She's going to have to interview Hayden first."
"I know but the minute I tell her she's out the door. I think it's best to put her in a room, tell her it's someone else, and have Hayden come out."said David
"You know that's a real dick move"
"Yeah but anything for her to move on. She's still so hung up on him. I want her to be able to have closure."
"Fine but If things start going south your in charge." He said walking off
After I finished using the bathroom I went and found David in the lobby.
"Hey David so who's the first victim?" You said laughing.
"Ewan McGreggor" he said handing you a folder with questions.
"Wait. This isn't for the obi wan series is it?" You asked
"Surprise! It is!" David said trying to sound enthusiastic but failed miserably.
"Oh no I know exactly where this is going. I am NOT interviewing Hayden" you said
"And you won't be. Here are all the questions you will need to ask Ewan. Remember to take notes.
"Ughh. Im really dreading being here." You replied.
"Look even if you do run into Hayden maybe you need closure." David said
"I don't need anything from him but an apology and for him to move to another country"
David laughed and ushered you to go to the interview room
You walked into a room with two chairs. You sat in one and looked over your questions while you were waiting for your interviewee to come in. The next thing you heard were footsteps and the sound of someone sitting in a chair. You looked up with a huge smile but that quickly faded.
"Hayden?"
"Hi y/n" he said before clearing his throat
"Um I have here that I'm supposed to be interviewing your friend Ewan McGreggor."
"Oh, well I'm the first on the list today" Hayden said gently
You thought about it and you quickly realized this wasn't just a coincidence, this was David trying to get you and Hayden in a room to talk to each other.
"I'm sorry will you excuse me?" You said smiling walking away to the door. You tried opening it but it wouldn't budge. You banged your fist on the door with all the anger you had inside you.
"David open the fucking door!!!!"
"Not until the interview is done."
"I quit! Ha! Now I can't do the interview."
"Just do the interview and be done!"
You walked back to your seat knowing Hayden just heard everything as the door wasn't that far away.
"Alright let's get to this interview" you said with no enthusiasm.
