Chapter 3

Y/N POV:
I walked out of that room as quickly as possible. I was so mad yet upset. David tried to stop me.
"Don't David" I said still speed walking to the front door.
"Wait!" He said getting in front of me to stop me
"I'm sorry. I just wanted you to be able to see him and say what you needed to."
"Stay out of my business David. I know I tell you everything but that doesn't mean you should interfere with my life." I said angrily
"I know you miss him. I know you want to be with him. Why don't you just give him a chance?" He asked
"Give him a chance? I'm sorry but when your husband cheats on you when you have a one year old, chances run out. I know I want to be with him but I can't let myself. If I do I'll get hurt just as badly again. I have to be strong and try my best to move on." I said tears in my eyes
"Y/n I'm-"
"Save it David" you said wiping tears that were running down your face. You left and decided to use some of your vacation time to go home and take some time to yourself before your mom brought autumn home from school. Luckily she was there to help at times like these. You cried. You cried every tear your body could possibly produce. You were getting so anxious and were trying your best to stop an attack. You managed to calm yourself down and breathe.
About 45 min later your mom arrived with Autumn.
"Mommy!" Said the little blonde haired girl running towards you to hug you once you opened the door.
"Hey sweetie" I tried to say with happiness but failed.
Autumn went to her room to go play.
"Honey are you okay?" Your mom asked
You nodded no with tears rolling down your face. She hugged you and you explained everything.
"I think you need to take some time off. Ever since the divorce you have been running yourself crazy with work and taking care of Autumn. I think you need a short break." Your mom said soothingly
"Thanks mom" I said calming down a bit. She left and you decided to text David

You- Hey David I think I need to take some time off from work. I have been overloaded lately"

David- I understand but this is a big series and we need a reporter on this to get this article out. I'm afraid if you don't come in we will have to find a replacement.

You couldn't believe it. David was the one that caused all of this yet he was going to fire you if she didn't show up. At this point you had no choice. You had a daughter and bills to pay. As much of a pain it was going to be you set your alarm for work the next day.
