I have attempted this one-shot after a popular demand! This was fun to write after The Lost Years. I hope my readers enjoy this!

Evenings after work were when they met.

"Did you bring me a gift? You remember we were supposed to exchange gifts, Mr. Dixit?" Sonakshi bombarded him with her questions as soon as he arrived at the coffee shop.

"Devvv." He corrected, as he pulled out the chair next to her and sat down.

"Yes, Devvv." She mimicked. "You remembered, didn't you?"

"How can I forget? We are supposed to get each other gifts and something better than last time. Although I did get you such pretty bangles. They suited you. You were the one who cheapened out with fruits!"

"Dev, fruits are healthy. Plus, you also got those bangles from the road." She rolled her eyes. "Anyway, I have done better this time. You go first." She invited.

"Okay." Dev obliged, handing her an envelope.

"What's this?" She wondered if it was tickets to someplace, maybe a concert or a movie.

"It's a membership to my gym. This way we can work out together. It will be fun!" His excitement couldn't be more obvious.

She smiled at him. "That's actually a really good gift, Dev. Thank you, I love it. My turn now." She handed him a wrapped gift.

"What's this?" He tore the wrapping. It was a book. He glanced at the title. Fifty Shades of Grey.

"Fifty Shades of Grey? Sonakshi, you know I am not much into colors. I like the color grey but doesn't mean I am going to read a whole book on it! Also, I don't really have time to read this, you know that!"

"This is your gift and you will make time to read. Aren't you going on that trip next week? You will have lots of time on the flight. You can finish it then." She decidedly told him. "I have one condition, though."

He frowned. "What's that?"

"You won't discuss it with me." She held his eyes unblinkingly.

Dev burst into laughter. "What kind of condition is that? If I don't have to discuss it with you, then how will you know if I have read it or not? Ms.Khargosh, you are too cute!"

She smiled, biting her lip and looked down at her hands. "Oh, I will know if you read it or not, don't you worry about that. I know that you will make sure to let me know, in your own way."

"Girls are so complicated! Okay Ms.Bose. We will see." He conceded and stirred some sugar into his coffee.

"Thank you." Dev nodded at the stewardess and sipped his drink. It was going to be a long flight and he needed to go through those reports Tina had emailed him. He opened his bag to get his laptop out when his eyes fell on the book Sonakshi had given him. While packing, he had casually dropped it in his bag at the last minute, just to humor her, even if he didn't intend to read it. But right now, just looking at the book made him smile. How he wished Sonakshi was traveling with him. He looked at his laptop and the book in his hand and considered. She wanted him to spend his time on the flight reading this? Well, why not? She had gifted it to him, so obviously it was special. He leaned back, propped a pillow and opened the book.

Sonakshi rushed into the kitchen. She was very late today, and she needed to make sure Auntiji's breakfast was on time. "Kichu bhaiyya, did you check my chart that I gave you yesterday?" Already hassled, she dug into her purse searching for a hairclip when Dev walked in. He had gotten home late the night before from his trip and hadn't had a chance to call her.
