You and Frisk we're at the office waiting for your boss to arrive. Both of you have a chance to get a promotion however only one gets it and since then Frisk became your rival. Both of you were glaring at each other until your Boss,Clumby walked in.
"So I heard both of you are competing for the promotion I'm going to give,right? Well I've got one story for the both of you. Lizbert Megafig sent me this tape with creatures called "Bugsnaxs". Now I want both of you to watch it and then I'll send you both to the island to interview Liz herself tomorrow.
Clumby places the tape in a vr and it played on the TV.
(Speed up to 0:35 for the tape.)
Both me and Frisk were amazed at what we saw, creatures called Bugsnax, kinda Bug,kinda snak. She also said how she'll share it to everyone which could get us famous. Clumby started to speak again." Now I want both of you to write a headline about this. The one I like better will be promoted while the other one will be fired."
Both of us started to sweat,to lose a job both of us had for a long time and to think we'll lose it from just a story."But we both worked hard for this job,we made sure everything was up to status and you just give us that?!" Y/n said with anger rushing through. "Why can you keep the both of us?! We both we there at the start of this business!" Frisk added in." Well for one both of your headlines had to be recalled and I had to make a apology and there were one million in total. Two your writing sucks,at first it was great but it's just lazy and three I could only keep one of you,like in a game you have your starter then you forgot about them to add better ones." She said rubbing her head.
"But if the story is true that would gather new audience and make me millions,so I'm willing to take the risk with the both of you so now go pack your bags since your leaving tomorrow and try to not hit your head while your there." Clumby said before she walked out. Frisk stared back at me while I stared at her. "I'm not willing to lose my job, I worked here for so long and I'm not giving it up to you." She glared at me. "Well both of us worked at the start so I'm not going to let you take that promotion,beside can't we go back to being friends like back then? Without all the fighting for money?" "Well I got to pay off if I want to go to college,and that will help me there so no." "Well I'm in debt with my collage degree for journalism and I wonder how you got here without one."
She rolled her eyes before walking out of the room leaving me alone. "Sigh,sometimes I wish I could go back at us being friends, now it's all about money and rivalry." I had a small flashback to it.
Flashback
"Frisk, I need the part to this article do you happen to have it done yet?" "Yes Y/n I got it here."
She handed me the papers to the rest of the article of a myth going around and she handed me a coffee. "Remember,you own me coffee next week!" She giggled before continuing to edit my part of the story. Both of us would work together to get the headline done on time and Clumby would be amazing at the results.
End of Flashback
"Well I can't stay here and just thinking about it, maybe if I get the promotion maybe we'll be friends again." Y/n walked out of the office and back home. I made sure to pack my suitcase with everything I needed and a gift Frisk gave me,a f/c (favorite color) bandana. "Maybe this is what will remind her of our friendship."
You thought before checking your phone to see the address of were you'll go to and leave at before falling asleep.
(Skip to morning.)
I woke up early and grabbed my suitcase and made a quick breakfast before leaving to the address Clumby sent us. I got there to see Clumby and Frisk there."Finally you got here,if you were a minute later then I would have let Frisk leave to the island herself." Clumby said before handing me a map. "That's the island map, don't lose it because I'm not making a copy. You'll be leaving in this boat I got, now get on and get my interview. And by the way since your late you'll be flying the boat first." Clumby said before walking off. I got onto the boat with my suitcase while Frisk just looked at the sky sketching it on a sketch book.
I started the boat up and gone towards the sky.
(Skip to arriving at the island).
"All right this should be the place..." The island was covered in a thick eerie,mist along with some rain. I looked on my map for the place to land until something hit the boat." WHAT THE GRUMP!?!" Frisk got up and looked around to see what we hit but nothing came. I looked to the left and saw a creature that looked like a pizza hit the boat again causing me to fall while it knocked out Frisk.
"Frisk!!"
I called out as the boat flew into the mist farther from me. I knew there was no way to stop it so I carried on deeper into the island.
