Chapter 14

Y/n Pov

I looked down at the cave floor,Floofty left again early and I'm afraid they killed someone. All I could do in here is suffer and watch it all unfold. "I just want to get out of here..." I whispered onto the cave floor. I looked back up to see Floofty opening the door and tossing me a chocolate pod. "There's your meal, I would give you a bugsnax if you weren't allergic to them." I kicked it away. "Have it yourself,I'm not taking anything from a killer." That ticked Floofty and they tackled me.

"Listen here Y/N... I don care if you try to starve yourself to death here. I will make sure you never die if that's how you wish to escape from me."

They looked dead serious at me before I mutter something. "I hate you..." "What was that? Speak up darling. I'm listening." Floofty replied emotionless. "I... HATE YOU!! YOUR KILLING OFF INNOCENT GRUMPUSES BEFORE THEY MIGHT GET IN THE WAY!-" Before I could say something else Floofty grabbed me and tackled me to the wall,pinning me in place.

"Listen good and well,y/n. I don't want anyone to get in our way even if it means to kill everyone in town at once. I already took out four of them meaning I have to take out the other eight. After that we can both live happily ever after whether you like it or not."

Floofty then pulled out a knife and was getting ready to cut me until we heard a knock on the door. We both stayed silent for a moment until we heard another one. Floofty left the room to investigate.

Small pov switch to Floofty:

I put on my slash and got Dolce up. When we opened the door we saw a faint figure of a grumpus running off. "Dolce!! Get them now!!" I bolted out of the room to chase the Grumpus. "I can't risk them telling everyone where we live! Otherwise they'll take y/n away from me!" I chased after them making sure not to lose sight and avoid all obstacles in the way.

"Thanks mighty leader...okay move out! We only have a few minutes to get in and out so chop,chop!!" Our great queen of bugsnaxs decided to help us out with the plan,she made the snaxsquash to lure the purple one out.

Flashback

While we were making our way over hear we saw her emerge from the ground in her snaxform, we all bowed down. "Hello my queen,why are you here this late?" I spoke quietly trying not to upset her. "I heard you're going to save the journalist,Y/n correct?" "Yes,do you have any problems with it?" "Yes I do, why are you doing this without me, do you want my assistant?" All of us were shock about what the queen said,Help? Our queens in the past never lended their help to us so why now?

"But-But My queen! We're the ones to help you not you help us!" "I don't care whether you want it or not just let me help, I don't want them to kill my wife. They took her's already so I'll do whatever it takes to save her and everyone and stop calling me queen." "Sorry Liz,you can help us rescue Y/n but you have to be the distraction. None of us can take the purple one in a one on one fight."

"Fine then, let's move."

Once we got to the door Beef,Scoops,Sprinkles,Quickbeans and the kweebles lined up at the door and began to charge at it. While they charged at the door root burrowed under to try to find the Grumpus they took. We also sent out Pollen and Spy to watch over the purple one.

Y/n pov (Bugsnax translator off)

I looked at the cave floor, I was hopelessly wondering who was at the door and if they got caught. That's when I heard something banging on the door. "Help!! Please save me!! I don't want to be in here! Please!"

They continue to bang on the door but I still didn't get a reply."Perhaps they're trying to sneak and draw attention to themselves?" I wondered until I felt the ground around me shift for a bit until a orange bugsnax popped out of the ground it had the same paw print from earlier. "Rootle,Roota!" It began to shout for a bit until two small unpopped popticks came. "You're Filbo's pet!They came to rescue me!"

Just then I heard some break and seconds later Bugsnaxs filled the room."Wait it just bugsnaxs? Nevermind that, please help me!" The bugsnaxs went to Floofty's part of the cave before they came back with a Banana split that held a knife. At first I was a bit nervous until it started cutting the ropes. It took a few minutes but they managed. As soon as I left the cave I was going to run back in the same direction like last time until the Banana split picked me up as the other snaxs fixed the door back up.

After they finish that we started heading the opposite way. "What the? Put me down!! It'll be fast if I run!!" Before I could say anything else the sodie hopped onto me and sprayed water at me. "I guess it's your way to say shut up."

Springs pov: (Bugsnax translator on)

"Finally they're quiet. Okay we will have to take the long way but it's our best option if we want to avoid the purple one. Spy and pollen know where we're going right?" I asked sprout who was close behind. "Yeah I made sure to tell them. Perhaps quickbeans should run back to see where they are? He is the fastest in the group." I thought for a moment. If quickbeans goes then he will have to run on the water to follow the purple one,plus he is forgetful. If I go I won't attract too much attention but I am the leader of this plan.

"Quickbeans to you wish to accept to check up on Spy and pollen?" Quickbeans thought for a moment. "Yeah sure,if anything happens I'll run straight back here and tell ya. Later!!" Quickbeans bolted off to check back on Spy and pollen. "Good luck. BB do you have the map?" BB who was carrying the popticks passed the map to me. The map was Snaktooth island but had varieties of secrets tunnels all over the place including the one from sizzling sands to boiling bay. "So we're here behind frosted peak the quickest one to garden Grove is about a hour away. Well I hope ya like walking."

I looked at the map while the Grumpus was looking at me. "Why are you looking at me funny?"

Floofty's pov (Bugsnax translator off):

The Grumpus was putting up a good chase, it was still dark out so I still couldn't see anything. They looked about at me before I aimed my bottle of poison at them and hit them in the eyes causing them to lose footing. Once I caught up to them and pinned them on the ground to get a closer look. "What.. you're not a grumpus!! You're just snaxs!!" The snaxs grumpus broke apart for a few seconds before surrounding me and attacking.

I fought hard to defend myself from the attacks they were launching. They threw themselves on me to try and slow me down. Finally after I took out the last one I went back to base to clean my fur off of these gooey substance the bugsnax's got on me."This was a waste off time. Unless... I go back to town and eliminate one more grumpus... And I already decided who to take out." I went back to snakburg and straight to Snorpy and Chandlo's hut.

I made sure no one was up and grabbed one of Chandlo's dumbbells and walked over to Snorpy. He was mumbling in his sleep about the grumpanati as always. As I got ready to slam it down on his head I thought of something."Do I really want to kill my own sibling? It has to be done but...he helped me in the past.I just can't kill him...but if I turn myself in then I'll be arrested... I have to choose one." I stopped feeling... remorseful. I looked behind me to see Chandlo still sleeping.

I approached him careful to not make any noise and lifted the dumbbell over his head. Before I can slam it down on his head I heard someone behind me. "Floofty?" I turned around to see snorpy awake and staring at me,he had fear in his eyes. "Floofty please stop this madness!! Don't do it!!"
