Wesley pov:

The cool ocean waters glittered and shown brightly like some carpet of crystals, with every touch of the light from the moon, they seemed so calm a great contrast with how hard they were slapping against the firm rocks that sat on the shore, which remained steady even after many years of torture. Upon one of then I perched drinking in the scenery.

I shivered a little as the cool breeze from the ocean hit my skin like small silver blades sending chills down my spine. I took a deep breathe of the cool fresh air expanding my lungs painfully, in a bittersweet way. I let it out as the cool breeze tickled my nose.

"Huh"..." I sighed. Looks can be...
My train of thoughts was broken by a large ...Boom!

I jumped, and it was all I could do not to go tumbling into the cool waters. I turned around swiftly and I could have had a whiplash from the sudden movement as I braced myself for any danger. Adrenalin pulsed in my veins as I clenched my fists ready to attack only to find legend clutching his ribs as he laughed hard.

"What the fuck Legend?!"

I shot him a look. If only looks could kill. But Legend had the guts to continue laughing. Did he have a death wish or something written somewhere in his thick skull..??

Legend was a big man, with his height  standing at 6.1 feet. He was heavily built. His dirty brown hair sat like a dirty mob on his head. His skin was light with dark brown eyes that always had a spark in them, maybe from his lighthearted nature, a sharp contrast to his heavily built form.

Perhaps his personality was which made me to keep him as a friend though we were completely different. Who was I kidding? The man had been there for me longer than I could remember. He had saved my ass from getting whooped down by a group bullies when I was thirteen. Not that I was grateful anyway my big headed ass thought I could have held my own. But things got better later and we were stuck at the hip.

"I never realized you were a scared rat dude", Legend said in between flits of laughter, unable to control his annoying laughter as his breath came in rasps from laughing so hard.

"Fuck off!", I snarled pushing his annoying ass out of the way harder than I intended which resulted in him sitting on the rough ground with a thud. I didn't even spare him a glance as I made my way to the cabin.

"Did you have to push my delicate self so hard Wes...?" he whined as he stood off the ground.

"I loved this pants you know, now I have to change them". He whined as he stomped his feet catching up with me.

My lips curled into a smirk as I watched him stomp his feet like a little girl.

"Easy there young lady", I tormented which made him snout as he mattered 'sadist' under his breath. He pushed the door almost too rough that its hinges almost came off as he disappeared in before me.

"I heard that!" I called after him as I shut the wooden door carefully behind me. Even so, my earlier sour mood was gone. I walked to the kitchen and poured myself a glass of water welcoming its cool taste with my thirsty throat.

I had been staying down at my family cabin for months now. Staying or running from my everything whichever you'd chose to call it. I had lost the one person I cared about most on the world. The rug had just been pulled from under my feet in one night.

If only I had been with her that night? If only I had known some sick fuck had targeted her, to torture, kill and dispose at my front door? If only I hadn't been busy running the family business? I hated myself and I needed to stay away from the entire world to deal with my grieve. After isolating for a month legend had come down and refused to leave.

Someone had wanted to pass a message to my father or me. That was the only explanation. You don't run a multimillion company without making enemies that's for sure. But to kill and torture an innocent teenage girl was cruel even for a competitive business adversary. It was indeed a cruel world that we lived in.

I hated to admit that I was in a dark place and legend being coming down to the cabin had helped me bury my grieve. Clara would have wanted me to go on living in sorrow, that's for sure. My step sister was the sweetest person and I was going to try and live for her.

Just for her.

Maybe it was time to come out of hiding and head home. Maybe it was time I made good with the past and tried to live up to what Clara could have wanted. It was also time to stop staying with Legend. The man was sickening and he didn't fail to whine about how he had gone too long without a lady warming his bed. He was truly insufferable.

How do you like the first chapter??
