(5) Starcourt Mall

ALMOST the whole party was standing at Starcourt Mall in Hawkins Indiana right now, except Mike and Will. They were still on their way to Starcourt Mall which didn't surprise the party at all since Mike is late most of the time, Mostly because he overslept or has drama at his house again like arguing with his sister Nancy. Or he's just slow.

After 10 minutes of waiting, Mike and Will finally arrived at Starcourt Mall with their bikes. "Look who we have here." Lucas said in a annoyed tone, his arms crossed. "I'm surprised Mike wasn't a hour too late this time." Max added to his sentence while Mike just got off of his bike and put his bike in one of the bike racks that were very close to the entrance of the huge mall.

Mike just gave Max a really annoyed look. "Mr.Frogface left his bed after a nightmare and is now in a bad mood!" Lucas joked, they all laughed except Mike of course, he didn't find it funny at all. "Let's go to Scoops first." Dustin suggested, they all agreed. Dustin hadn't seen his friend Steve in a week and really wanted to see him again.

Lucas, Mike, Max, Will, El and Dustin all walked into Starcourt Mall and went to Scoops Ahoy. Instead of walking down the escalator, they all ran down the escalator and pushed a few people away.

"Sorry!" Mike yelled to the people he pushed away as he ran to Scoops Ahoy with the rest. They all now walked into Scoops Ahoy and saw the 18 year old Robin Buckley giving people ice cream instead of Steve Harrington, or called 'Steve The Hair'.

"Have a nice day." Robin said in a not too happy tone to a customer as the kids walked to her. "One chocolate ice cream for me, One strawberry ice cream for Will, One mint chocolate chip ice cream for Max, One banana ice cream for Lucas, One vanilla ice cream for El and one cookie dough ice cream for Dustin please." Mike said as he grabbed the money he was going to give to Robin out of his pocket. "Sure, Would you like anything else?" Robin said in a annoyed or tired tone, she absolutely hated her job and especially kids of the age 8-15.

"Nope, just that." Mike said. Robin grabbed a ice cream scoop and some ice cream cones and scooped the ice cream on the cones. First the strawberry ice cream, then the banana ice cream, then the vanilla ice cream, then the cookie dough ice cream, then the mint chocolate chip ice cream and then the chocolate ice cream.

"Here you go," -- "Thank you." Robin said as Mike gave her the money he just grabbed out of his pocket and the kids got their ice cream. They all walked out of Scoops Ahoy and Dustin just looked disappointed. He was disappointed that he didn't got to see Steve, but atleast he got to see his other friend Robin.

Mike walked to his girlfriend El and put his arm around her while he ate his ice cream, El did the same thing. Will just looked at them in a sad but confused way. Was he jealous?

The truth was, he hated seeing El and Mike together, not because he doesn't want them to be happy, but because Will always had a huge crush on Mike since he was almost 8 years old. Will knew there was no change Mike liked him back since he was obviously straight and he had a girlfriend, Mike probably just saw him as a BFF or maybe even a brother.

It still hurted Will though but he didn't wanted to ruin El and Mike's relation ship or his friendship with Mike so he decided to keep it a secret, maybe he would tell someone someday but for now he kept it a secret.

"You okay?" A girls voice asked him from behind which snapped Will out of his thoughts. It was one of his friends, Max. This was pretty much the first time they talked to each other. "Uhm, Yeah." He lied, Max knew he was lying but she didn't wanted to force Will to tell her what was wrong so she decided to focus on other things again like eating her ice cream that was slowly melting.

Will focused on Mike and El again who were now whispering dumb and unfunny jokes in each other's ears. Will got more and more jealous with the minute, but decided to just focus on his ice cream that was melting too just like Max. He began eating his strawberry ice cream and tried to think about other stuff which worked in a minute.

"Let's go to the cinema now." Mike said and the others found it a great idea. After a few minutes, after they all finished their ice cream, they all went to the cinema to watch a horror movie. When they all arrived at the cinema, They all took a seat and focused on the cinema screen that was already playing the movie for a few seconds.

Lucas sat next to Max, Dustin sat next to El and Mike sat next to his best friend Will. Will still looked pretty sad, so Mike started to get worried about him. "Hey, you okay?" Mike whispered as he leaned in. "Yeah." Will whispered back. He now did something that he shouldn't do, well, not with your best friend. He stared at Mike's lips, then back up at his eyes, he did this three times, and surprisedly Mike did the same thing but only once.

"You sure?" Mike made sure Will was okay one more time, but Will just nodded softly and then focused on the movie again. Mike knew he was lying, so he tried to comfort Will in the most dumbest way possible. He slowly moved his hand closer to Will's hand and put it on top of Will's hand.

Will was shocked and tried not to panic, it was like everything was blurry except Mike and himself, like it was just him and Mike in the whole world. Will's cheeks started turning red and he started to breath faster with the minute because he tried not to panic.

They both just focused on the movie again, and decided to not think much of it.
