(10) Boyfriends

TODAY it was tuesday, the day after Will had his first ever kiss with his crush, Mike Wheeler. Will decided to let Mike stay at his house for 1 night, Mike couldn't sleep in the same bed as Will though since only 1 person could sleep in the bed but Mike was totally fine with this. Will gave him a sleeping bag and a pillow so Mike could sleep on the floor next to the bed.

It was morning, and the bright sun was shining through the windows, It was basically the same as every summer morning. Mike was slowly waking up, and when he finally opened his eyes he sat up and rubbed his eyes. He looked around the room, and saw that Will wasn't laying in his bed anymore.

He was probably getting changed or he was already eating breakfast. Will wouldn't eat breakfast without Mike thought, he would wait for him. Mike got out of the sleeping bag and went to the living room, he then sat on the couch and decided to wait for Will. After a little while, Will finally walked out of the bathroom and went to the living room too now to see Mike.

"Hey, Will. How did you sleep?" Mike asked nicely with a small smile, Will just shrugged like everytime. He was still very tired since he just woke up, so he didn't really know the answer for Mike's question yet.

Will decided to sit on the couch next to Mike, and just turn on the TV. There was silence for a moment, until Mike asked a question that kind of shocked Will. "So uhm, Are we like..a thing now?" He asked, Will just stared at him for a few seconds in shock, with his eyes wide.

"Y-Yeah.." Will stuttered. It's not like Will didn't wanted Mike to be his boyfriend of course, but he never had a boyfriend before and now Mike Wheeler was his boyfriend. His biggest crush since they were almost 8 years old. He kind of loved the idea.

Mike just grabbed Will by the cheek again and kissed him on the lips, for Will it felt like their first kiss again. He closed his eyes and kissed Mike back with his hand on Mike's chest, until the front door opened. It was Joyce, Will's mother.

She always went to the store early in the morning to get food for the evening. Mike and Will let each other go as fast as possible so that Joyce wouldn't see them kissing. Joyce did saw it though, but she wasn't going to talk about that with Will. Not right now.

Joyce just looked confused at them while Mike and Will were red as tomatos again because of how embarrassing it was. Joyce now walked to the kitchen to put the stuff she bought in the fridge and cupboards.

"I'm going to get changed and then i'll have to go home, alright?" Mike whispered and Will just nodded. Before Mike went to the bathroom, Will gave him a kiss on the cheek which made Mike blush even more.

He now went to the bathroom and got changed, he used some of Will's clothes that were too big for Will. It was a light blue shirt with sandyellow, dark red and light red stripes, and black shorts that were shorter than the shorts he usually wears.

He then grabbed a green toothbrush, it wasn't used by Will, Joyce or Jonathan though, Joyce bought the toothbrush yesterday and nobody used it yet. Will told him he could use it. He put toothpaste on the toothbrush and started to brush his teeth for 4 minutes straight, just like always. Just like Will, he also always cleans his toothbrush after using it.

He now walked out of the bathroom, back to the living room to say Will goodbye and leave the house to go back to his own house. He wanted to kiss Will again, but since Joyce was home he decided to just give Will a tight hug. "Bye, I'll miss you." Mike said as he gave Will a small smile, Will smiled back and of course he was going to miss Mike too.

After Mike left the Byers house, Joyce started a conversation with Will. "You don't have to hide anything from me, you know this right?" Joyce said, Will just looked confused at her with a eyebrow raised.

Joyce now walked to the living room and sat next to Will on the couch. "I saw you and Mike kissing." She said. Will's eyes went wide, and he turned pale. He looked at his mother for a few seconds, and then started to tear up.

"I'm totally fine with you liking boys." She said as she gave Will a tight hug. Will was so glad to have a supportive mom since his dad wasn't supporive at all. He was homophobic. Tears rolled down Will's cheeks as he hugged his mom back. "I- I'm so sorry.." He apologized, but his mother wasn't mad at him at all. She put her hand on Will's cheek and comforted him.

"Sweetie, You don't have to be sorry. Our bond will never change, Especially not just because you like the same gender." More tears started to roll down Will's cheeks, but this time they were happy tears, not sad tears.

He was actually having the best monday and tuesday ever. First he got to hear that his crush Mike Wheeler liked him back, and then he found out his own mother was supportive and not homophobic at all. "Thank you so much, mom." he said as he stopped hugging his mom.

"No problem, sweetie."
