(9) "I like you too, Will"

IT was about a few minutes later, like 32 minutes later and Mike felt it was starting to rain a little bit. The sky was gray with loads of gray clouds, instead of light blue with white clouds. He stretched out his arm and let the rain touch his hand and arm. "What if Will was still outside somewhere? The rain will most likely make him sick." He thought to himself. Instead of going back inside the Arcade, He decided to go to the Byers house to check if Will was alright and if he wanted to talk about what just happened.

He grabbed his bike that was standing in one of the bike racks, and got on top of it. He noticed that Will's bike was still standing there, but he knew that Dustin, Max or Lucas would bring it back to the Byers house when they notice Will is gone and when they finish playing Dig Dug.

Mike cycled away from the Arcade without saying anything to his friends and went to the Byers house. Since it started to rain more and more with the minute, Mike was happy he brought his rain coat with him in a backpack since before he went to the Arcade he already knew there was a change it would start raining, so when he arrived at the Byers house he was going to put on his rain coat before talking to Will.

When he arrived at the Byers house, he threw his bike on the ground and decided to put on his dark green rain coat.

Will was inside the Byers house, home alone once again. His older brother Jonathan was working at Hawkins Post with his girlfriend Nancy, and his mother Joyce had to go to the store. He was in the kitchen grabbing a glass of water, since he had been crying for like 25 minutes long he thought it would be good to take a glass of water. He wanted to take a sip of the water, until he heard a knock on the front door. It was most likely Mike, he knew it.

"Will! Will can you please come outside so we can talk!?" Mike yelled, but there was no response. Even though Mike didn't really do anything wrong, Will was still mad at him. Probably because of how jealous he was, he never felt this jealous before.

Everyday he had to look at Mike and El making out, whispering dumb and unfunny jokes in each other's ears or holding hands, For some reason Will wanted to be El sometimes, since Will had the biggest crush on Mike.

"Will, Please!" Mike yelled again, and this time Will finally decided to response. He walked to the front door and opened it. He saw a tall figure standing infront of him, and this time he was wearing a dark green rain coat instead of only a yellow shirt with white and orange stripes (the shirt he was wearing at the start of S3).

"Will, Tell me what happened." He said as he walked inside the house, he was sure Will didn't mind this since it was raining and cold outside and Will would never let Mike freeze to death. "You kept whispering dumb jokes inside El's ear, and then you started kissing her! didn't you and El broke up!?" Will yelled at Mike, his green eyes filled with anger but also sadness.

"We didn't break up, it was just a break! like a pause." He explained but Will didn't believe him since Mike literally told Will him and El broke up, not that they were going to take a small break. "Then why did you tell me El broke up with you!?"

"Shit." Mike thought to himself, he totally forgot that he told Will about their break up meaning he couldn't lie about it anymore. "So now you're lying to me!? I thought friends didn't lie to each other!?" Will yelled at him, he didn't yell much at Mike or at any of his friends meaning he was mad for real right now, but he wasn't only mad, he was also sad.

"My life is none of your business! Why are you always so dramatic!?" Mike yelled back, and the next sentence Will was about to say was definitely going to ruin their friendship, or well, that's what Will thought.

"BECAUSE I LIKE YOU!" Will yelled as loud as he could. There was silence for a while, for about almost 3 minutes, and they just kept staring at each other in shock. Will never wanted to tell Mike this, and now their whole friendship was ruined. Mike probably hated him now, he probably wished he never met Will right now, and what if he thought Will ruined his life?

Will tried his best not to panic, but it didn't work. He started breathing faster and faster with the minute. "So you're Gay?" Mike asked, Will looked confused at him. Why wasn't Mike mad at him? Why was this the only thing he asked/said? Will just decided to nod his head.

"Being gay is a sin, Will, A sin! You should like girls! not boys!" Woah, so Mike was mad at him. And even worse, he was Homophobic. Tears that Will had been holding back for a while were now rolling down his cheeks. His own crush was homophobic, his life couldn't get any worse now

"Shit, what did i just say!?" Mike thought to himself, he was so mad at himself right now. He acted homophobic while he wasn't even so sure if he was straight himself, and he also made his best friend since kindergarten cry.

"I- I'm sorry- I didn't-" Mike stuttered, but Will didn't even let him finish his sentence. "No, save it, Mike. You had all the right to act like that, I'm such a freak." He cried. Mike knew a sorry wasn't going to fix anything, so he decided to do something else, something he maybe shouldn't have done. He walked to Will, grabbed him by the cheek with his hand and placed his lips against Will's lips.

Will's eyes went wide and his whole face turned red, as red as a tomato.

After that kiss, everything changed. Not in a bad way though, in a good way. It was Will's first ever kiss, and the best part was that his first ever kiss was with his crush, Mike Wheeler. Just like in the cinema, in Starcourt Mall, Everything became blurry, except Mike and himself.

Mike didn't expect to like it, he actually just did it to comfort Will, but now he was sure he liked Will in a romantic way since he got a weird feeling in his stomach. If El found out about this she would probably be mad and disappointed, but it wasn't really cheating since Mike and El didn't got back together, El was the one who started kissing him, Mike didn't even kiss back. He didn't even like it.

For some reason he never liked kissing El, and he also never liked El in a romantic way. Of course he cared alot about El, but not like that. He liked Will.

After a while, Mike removed his lips from Will's lips, and he just stared at Will in shock, both their faces were still as red as tomatos. "I like you too, Will."
