Chapter 3: The Phantom Ronin

3rd POV. Araumi, Narukami Island. One year ago.

At the ruins near the foot of Mt. Yougou.........

The ronin who is wearing a blue kimono, white dress shirt, and black pants is roaming around these parts.

He is none other than Tachibana Reimei, who just escaped from none other than the Shumatsuban, the secret unit of ninjas under the Yashiro Commissioner, Kamisato Ayato.

The reason why the Shuumatsuban is chasing for Reimei, is because he apparently knew that there is something amiss within the Tri-Commission.

Reimei, since he experienced the discrimination of the Tenryou Commission to his ancestors, down to him, he is currently investigating what is actually going on and looking for the truth.

The Shuumatsuban have been also under orders from Ayato to watch the other two Commissions.

And there, they saw Reimei, doing his secret investigation. The Shuumatsuban reported this to Ayato and he told them to recruit Reimei to the Shuumatsuban.

However, Reimei misunderstood them as assassins from the Shogunate. So, every time he encounters a member of the Shuumatsuban, he'll escape with all his natural speed.

Even with Sayu, one of the Shuumatsuban's Vision Bearers, couldn't beat Reimei. It is because Reimei uses dust, rocks, and wrecking something in order to get rid of the little ninja of his back.

Now, he was also chased by Sayu and the other members of the Shuumatsuban as well.

In fact, in the history of the Shuumatsuban, this is the first time ever where they actually struggled in terms of their targets.

What makes it difficult for the Shuumatsuban to capture Reimei? Simple. The Tachibana Clan is also a clan of shinobi.

However, since the Tachibana Clan is under the Tenryou Commission before they were shunned by the public, they suggested to create an organization where they will keep Inazuma safe from the shadows.

Thus, they created the Shuumatsuban and they put them under the Kamisato Clan of the Yashiro Commission. What was the reason the Tachibana Clan did this?

The Kamisato Clan and the Tachibana Clan are close to each other. In fact, the Tachibana Clan is the most trusted confidants of the Kamisato Clan, as the Tachibana Clan always upheld itself in high moral standards.

It is due to this fact that he's extremely aware of his surroundings, he knows when someone is approaching him. Not to mention, he can also go toe-to-toe with the members of the Shuumatsuban, especially Sayu who is a Vision Bearer. While Reimei threw away his Vision, which unknowingly to him, is under the care of the Kamisato Clan.

Now, he escaped upon the ruins of at Araumi and is taking his time to process all the information that he gathered.
