The week seemed to go by fast. It was finally Thursday and we didn't have school tomorrow. I guess they wanted us to get a whole day to get ready. The dance was tomorrow. Me and Ricky were still going. I'm not sure if I wanted Danny to realize he belonged with me anymore. I was kinda starting to have feelings for Ricky. That was never supposed to happen.
Me and Carlos have been getting kinda close this week. Well not like that! We are just starting to talk more often ever since he knocked me over. Today were going to go shopping. I needed some new shoes to match with my silky blue dress. I'm not usually into these kind of things, so I knew I had to get some hills. Ricky already is much taller than me.
I got off the couch when I heard the doorbell rang. "I got it!"
I don't even think my mom is here. She hasn't come out her room in like two hours. My brothers went away for the weekend for some camping trip with friends. I got the house to myself pretty much.
"Hey you ready?" Carlos asked.
"Yes I been waiting all day. I was going to fall asleep." I laughed sarcastically.
He playfully pushed me, and we got into his car.
What a nice candy red mustang!
"Sweet huh?" He laughed looking at my epression on my face.
We got to the mall, and he eventually ditched me for a couple of guys he was cool with. I didn't want him to come look at the shoes with me anyway.
Just when I got to the 'Millions of Shoes' store I stopped. Ahead of me was Tiffany and Danny. I quickly hid behind this big billboard so they wouldn't see me.
"Who was he? You have one more chance to tell me who Gary is. Don't lie again." Danny's voice trembled, but had a sharp tone to voice. Trying to keep himself from crying in front of a girl.
"I told you he used to like me! He doesn't like me anymore. And I never liked him. Why don't you believe me?" Tiffany looked into his eyes as she held back tears.
"Tiff he was texting your phone all week! Then he calls you babe today come on now. You know what I don't even care. Go to the dance by yourself. Were done. I'm done." Danny turned around and walked away.
Just before Tiffany past my way, I rushed into the store. I saw her coming in here through the mirror they had at the front. I picked up a baby blue boot pretending to examine it. She walked up behind me and snatched the boot from me.
"Ew these are disgusting. Your wearing these to the dance?" Tiffany giggled. She turned to the rack, saw some cute strapped black high heels, and gave them to me. "There. Don't want you going to the dance embarrassing yourself. You gotta look good if you want to stay with Ricky."
She flipped her hair and went towards the door, but turned back around. "Oh by the way me and Danny broke up. You can have him if you want. I got something way better. Gary." With that being said, she was gone.
Wow. What a total bitch. So she was cheating on Danny? My best friend! Well ex best friend. We haven't exactly talked since our little fight. That right now I didn't care about. I knew how much Tiffany meant to him. I also knew that he would take her back without second guessing it.
I ringed up my shoes and left the store. I'm sure he was still here somewhere. It was my job to find him and tell him. Even if he wasn't going to believe me. There was still hope.
"There you are. Ahh you found some shoes. Cool. We gotta go." Carlos motioned for the entrance door.
"Umm can you give me five minutes please? I have to find someone." I pleaded.
"Sure. Go ahead. I'll be waiting in the car. I'll pull up to the front."
I turned back around heading towards the food court. Oh please be here. Please be here. My phone went off.
'Stopped by. Guess your not home. See you tomorrow beautiful xD' A text from Ricky showed up across my phone. Shit. I hope he's not mad at me. I was here at the mall getting heels just to impress him. That is something I never do. Neither is wearing heels.
l eventually gave up looking for Danny when I couldn't find him. When I was heading towards the door, someone grabbed me from behind.
"I didn't know you would be here." Danny of course! "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too." I turned around to hug him, and he squeezed me tight.
"Where you headed? Oh nice shoes."
"Home now. And these are for the dance tomorrow."
"Well you have fun. I'm not going."
"Come to my house later. You can tell me everything. Right now I have to go."I kissed his cheek then ran out the door. I sure didn't want to get Carlos irritated for waiting a long time.
When I got to the house I tried on my shoes. I almost tripped going down the stairs. Yeah, this was something very new to me. I've never wore heels before. That would be so embarassing if I fell or tripped at the dance. Thats why I was practicing walking in them now.
After I cooked dinner, took a shower, and put my pajamas on, the doorbell rang. My mom still wasn't home. Where is she?
I opened the door to see a smiling Danny. Why is he smiling so hard? But then I saw he was holding something behind his back.
"Uh..?" I began to speak but the words wouldn't come out.
"I got you flowers. Well tulips. I know their your favorite, and this was the best way I could apologize to you. I'm sorry for ignoring you. I'm sorry for not believing you just because I thought you were jealous. Silly right? Well it doesn't matter, Tiff and I broke up."
I took the flowers and put them in a vase of water. It was super sweet of him to think about me. I was kind of upset though, Danny just said it was silly that I could of had a crush on him. He didn't know I did but it still hurt. Everyone else knew so should he.
I felt someone touch my back, and I turned around facing Danny. Oh God why did he do that? I could feel myself getting hot. I made my way over to the couch and sat down.
Danny seemed to notice my reaction because he changed the subject pretty quickly. "So what is it that you needed to tell me?"
"Well..-" I couldn't seem to find the words. I didn't even think that I wanted to tell him anymore. He seemed so happy.
"Well what? Just tell me. I can handle it." Danny sat next to me and started rubbing my thigh.
I bit my lip to keep from moaning. "Danny you have to leave. I'm sorry." I got up walking towards the door. This just could not happen. I don't know what he was trying to do, but whatever it is, I didn't want to be apart of it. At least not tonight.
"Did I say something wrong?" Danny said walking out the door. I just closed it right after he stepped out, ignoring what he said. If I opened my mouth, something crazy was going to come out. I knew it would get me in trouble.
My mom eventually came home after I was already upstairs in bed. I heard the front door close, as my eyes finally closed. We could talk in the morning. I definitely wanted to know where the hell she was all night.
