You Belong With Me

Chapter 6

I woke up Monday morning getting ready for school. Just as I was walking downstairs, I realized the fight me and my mom had over the weekend.

Two days ago. I feel bad. I had taken my anger out on her and never even apologized for my actions. Well that was going to change right now. 

I walked into the kitchen and saw my little brothers on the couch sleep. Snoring really loud. The usual. I giggled to myself as I smiled at their cute adorable faces.  

My mom walked into the kitchen, glanced at me, then poured her a cup of tea. Ahh yes, of course it was pretty obvious, she was ignoring me.

"Mom I'm sorry for lashing out on you over the weekend. It was just alot of stuff was going and I didn't -"

My mom pulled me into a bear hug getting me to shutup. That meant she accepted my apology. Oh how nice mom!

"Baby we all go through stuff. I just want to be able to get through them with you. You and the boys are all I have left. I need you." 

"Aww mom you do have me. And together we can get through anything!" I smiled letting go of my mom, and grabbing my backpack. "I gotta go see you later. Love you." I kissed her cheek then left out the house.

I haven't talked to Ricky since Saturday. Yeah today could actually get pretty awkward.

Lonely too. I'm pretty sure Danny would be with Tiffany and her followers again today. 

Letting out a big sigh, I collected my thoughts together, and went inside the school building. 

My eyes lit up as I saw the whole building decorated in pink and gold. Those are our school colors. Banners, glitters, posters, streamers, and balloons were everywhere!

"Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a good weekend because next weekend will be the bomb!" our principal Mrs. Norwood spoke over the intercom. "Next Friday at the game we will announce our king and on Saturday we will announce our queen at the ball. I hope you all our coming. Have a fantabalous day Wildcats!" she clicked off the monitor.

Wow just two weeks ago Ricky and I were planning this whole dance together. I had no idea that the dance was this soon. Now I had no date, and I was just going to look like a stupid lonely outcast. Just like at school. Great. That means theres no point of me going to the stupid dance!

I reached into my pocket to get out my ipod, and just as I did that someone knocked into me. Causing me to fall onto the ground.

My binder flew and papers scattered everywhere. And of course the laughter in the hallways soon began. Everyone was roaring with laughter. Could this day get any worse?

"I'm so sorry. I didn't see there." a unfamiliar face leant out there hand to help me up.

I was staring deeply into their light gray eyes. Was he new? He looked kind of muscular, had tan skin, and curly blond hair. Aw crap he was hot!

I took his hand and he helped me up, and even went after my binder and papers. 

Ricky came running up to me. "I saw what happened. Are you ok?" 

"I'm fine actually." I rolled my eyes. Smoothing out my skirt and brushing my hair back down, I noticed everyone who was laughing fled the halls.

Here's your stuff." the guy who knocked into me came over to us. He wasn't just cute but he had a British accent! Was I dreaming?

"I'll take it from here. Thank you." Rickey scoffed.

"Oh wait, I never got your name." I grabbed his arm before he walked off.

"Carlos. I already know yours. Its Kelly. I'm in your government class. Guess you just never noticed me. See you around?" Carlos smiled sheepishly. He looked at Ricky then walked off towards the cafeteria.

"Why did you make him run off? Tryna act like your my boyfriend?! Just the other day you was acting like a jealous asshole! You knew the whole time what we planned and you just-" 

Ricky grabbed my waist pulling me close to him, and kissed me. It wasn't one of those oh I'm just kissing to shut you up kiss. It was passionate, sexually, sweet, tasting, delicious, and warm. Our tongues latched on to eachother and he bit my bottom lip. Causing me to moan a little in his mouth and he bit my tongue to keep me quiet. It was the best kiss I have ever gotten!

When he stopped kissing me, I looked around to see the football team, a few familiar faces, Tiffany's followers, and of course Tiffany and Danny. All staring at Ricky and I. I'm guessing they saw us kiss. My whole face went red. 

I pushed Ricky away, and ran off out of the school. Everybody saw that kiss! Even Danny.

He's never going to think I like him now. Did I ruin my chances? But this was weird. I had this weird feeling in my stomach. I couldn't help but to think of that kiss that I shared with Ricky. Could I actually be in love with two guys? No that was impossible. 

The bell eventually rung for first period. Oh shit! I was going to be late.

I quickly ran back into the school, and flew by past the stares. Yeah, this is something I could totally get used to. I felt Tiffany's eyes burning in the back of my neck. I just shook my head and smiled, as I headed into my first period classroom door.
