Chapter One - The Last Day of School
My mom smiled at me and said, "Today's the last day of school, Naomi." As if I didn't know already. I've been waiting for this day since forever. "I know", I told her. But I wasn't thinking about that. I was wondering if I could come out. I've been waiting to do it this summer. But now that it's actually here I'm a little scared. But still, I finished my breakfast, grabbed my things, and waved good-bye to my mother as I ran outside to the bus stop, waiting for the school bus. My best friend Lilly was waiting for me. When the school bus came, Lilly and I went to our usual seats. I decided to tell her that I was Pansexual. "Hey Lilly.....I'm Pansexual," I said. Just like that. No details. Lilly smiled and said, "Naomi, I'll always be your best friend no matter what." I smiled back. Thankfully no one paid any attention to us. We got off at our stop, and walked for a minute to get to school. When we got there, a big banner read "Happy Last Day of School!" Lilly and I smiled at each other, then went to our first class.

Finally! I thought as Lilly and I walked to the field. "Hello everyone of Oak Middle School. I will be announcing the awards for the year, and some people will give some speeches." The Principal said, as everyone sat down. He cleared his throat and said, "Sarah WIlliamson, Naomi Wong, and Kendra Daniels have speeches. Sarah, you may begin." Sarah is a kid in my class. She's waaayy extroverted. Sarah ran over next to the principal and said her speech. Blah blah blah I'm happy to be here blah blah blah. I didn't pay attention. "Thank you Sarah." I heard the principal say. "Naomi, you may begin yours." I gulped. Me. But Lilly just smiled at me. So I went to recite. When I was finished the principal said the same thing. "Thank you Naomi." I quickly sat back down. "You were great." Lilly said. "Thanks." I smiled.
