Flame Technique and Flame Technique: Hellfire:

Hello everyone! I figured there might be some unanswered questions about the cursed technique from last chapter, so hopefully this clears things up! I'll try to be as informational as possible :)

Flame Technique is a type of cursed technique that allows the user to light their blood on fire. The fire only spreads to the areas covered in blood, meaning the blood has to be spread over a fist or the entire blade of a knife for the best effect. The user does not have immunity to the fire, meaning they will get burned when using this technique.
Take note that if the blood is not connected, it won't catch fire. This technique does not have the ability to catch things that have not been touched by a flame on fire.

Hellfire is similar to this in the sense it also requires blood to be set on fire. When blood from another curse or being (Blood B) is mixed with the blood of the user (Blood A) and set on fire, all of Blood B will be set on fire. This includes internal, splattered, and dried blood. It's a bit similar to Kugisaki's Straw Doll Technique: Resonance if you need something to compare it to.

Now onto the science of it:
(I suck at researching and am by no means a professional on any of these topics, so if got something wrong politely correct me in the comments!)

Flame Technique Blood Modifications:
This is where things may get a little confusing or hard to follow, so bare with me!
So, fire needs a fuel to be created. For example, the tip of the match+the friction of the striking paper=fire. The friction creates heat, which, mixed with fuel and oxygen, creates fire.
Now that that's out of the way, let's move onto the blood modifications in people with this technique.
Alcohol is flammable. Very, if you weren't aware. That's usually how cooks get those huge flames to rise out of a pan while cooking with a live audience. The reason it's so flammable is because of ethanol, a chemical in alcohol. Ethanol is 52% carbon, which is the base of most fire fuels.
Ethanol is the chemical that is measured when you get blood alcohol tests (or the tests that check if you're intoxicated or not). If the test reads anything less than .05%, you're not considered intoxicated, since your body already naturally produces that chemical.

Now, when cursed energy is flowing through their body and blood is on the surface of their skin, their body frantically starts producing ethanol to prepare for the technique. This is because of the high amount of carbon I stated earlier, along with the fact it's already naturally produced, so the body considers that the best option. This is why at the end of the previous chapter they stated the symptoms had already kicked in. They were referring to the feeling of being intoxicated.

I'm aware that if their body actually produced enough ethanol for the blood to be flammable they would die, but hey, if Gege Akutami can have holes in logic, so can I.
