Nightmare woke to the sound of droplets. She wasn't anywhere near anything but a sky void.
She couldn't get up. She felt cold, and empty. Where was she even?
Her right eye hurt, but her fur covered it so she had to push it away. Her right eye was closed. But blood pulsed on a wound. Where had that come from?
The wound she felt on her back legs made them unusable.
A moth light glittered in front of her, and she grabbed it, taking a deep breath.
She woke up. Nothing had happened. But it had felt so real.
  Her den was fine.
She was okay. But she wanted to talk to Crow for a bit.

Nightmare padded over to a rock where Crow's scent was. She whipped around, ear twitching, as she felt like she was being watched.
What's his problem? She complained in her mind.
  Crow stopped staring, realizing.
  "Sorry."
"Well, next time, don't stare!" Nightmare hissed.
  Leaves rustled.
She flicked her attention to the leaves. Nothing happened.
When she looked back, Crow was gone. With only a scrap of fur left.
  Crow? Please be okay...
