She whipped her head around, her fur over her eye flying into the air, just long enough to get slashed directly in her right eye. Blood welled at the wound.
Nightmare staggered. The cuman advanced on her.
Nightmare froze, horror struck her. She could faintly hear Crow's cries of fear for her.
But she knew this was the end.
The end of her.
The Cuman stretched it's paw out, claws unseathed.
It was the end.
She could do anything, because she was weak an defenseless. She accepted her fate.
Crow nudged the bars until they broke.
"Nightmare!!"
It was too late.
The cuman had struck her hind legs, pushing her against a rock. Her head crashed into the rock, and everything got dizzy.
She could blurrily make out Crow leaping atop the Cuman.
But she was tired.
Blood trickled down the back of her head.
Everything was numb, and blackness enveloped her.
