Chapter 2

Virender started searching a good life partner for ram seeing him settled in his job. Ram refused for marriage saying he needs time but Raj emotionally blackmailed him and took him to see the bride. Ram just agreed not wanting to stress his dad anymore. Ram's family liked Priya who was a simple traditional girl. Priya was the elder daughter of Mahendra sood and Meera sood. Priya has one younger brother Akshay along with one younger sister sandy. Priya's family liked Ram's family.

On noticing, they are taking the rishta forward, Ram asked permission to talk to priya alone before deciding anything. Elders agreed to his request. Ram explained his family situation and the responsibilities Priya would get on marrying him.

Priya who liked Ram for his look was impressed with his sincerity. So Priya agreed for the marriage making Ram surprised. Priya worked in a private school as a maths teacher. Ram too agreed for the marriage as Priya didn't have any objection with his family situation.

Soon Ram and Priya got married with their elders blessings. Ram can't ask for a better life partner. Priya just filled their house with happiness. Ram and Priya just behave cordial with eachother as there was some awkwardness between them which mainly due to Ram's hesitation. Ram then slowly started behaving normal around her seeing the way his siblings were attached to her. Priya first bonded with Ram's family which made him more surprised. Ram saw his father more happy nowadays. He noticed his younger brother sharing a close bond with his wife which is a surprise to him as he listened whatever his bhabhi said. Priya took care of shivi like a mother. Priya gave the warmth of a mother to his siblings who don't have any memory of their mother especially his sister even though she is only few years elder to them. Ram and Priya slowly fell in love with eachother. They became friends at first then lovers and slowly they became eachother's world. It was not difficult for them to fall in love with eachother. Ram never differentiated Priya's siblings and his siblings. Infact Priya' s siblings became close to Ram after their marriage. They literally worshipped their jeeju. Ram and Priya together took care of their family. They were happy in their small world. They lived a decent life not a rich life but they were happy in it. It was little over eight months into Ram and Priya's marriage.

It was a random day around 7pm, Priya went to open the door hearing the door bell ring. Priya opened the door to find her husband smiling widely.
Priya smiled seeing his happy face.
Priya: kya hua? Someone is looking very happy today.
Ram: kya hua!!! promotion hua meri jaan
With that Ram lifted Priya swiftly and twirled her fastly making Priya to shout at him. Ram stopped twirling her feeling little unsteady himself as he twirled her more than necessary. Priya held on to him tightly as she felt dizzy.
Priya: aap bhi na.
Ram: sorry Jaan got little excited.
Priya: little.
Ram hugged Priya inorder to calm her and she hugged him feeling little dizzy forgetting they are at the entrance and people are looking at them from the living room.
Shubu: hello love birds, we are also here.
That's when Priya remembered about the guest they had. Priya quickly parted from Ram and stood behind him while Ram was little Embarassed seeing vedika, her mom and dad sitting in their living room along with his father and shubu. Ram moved towards the living room couch with a sheepish smile.
Ram: I'm sorry, I didn't notice you all.
Shubu: when did you notice us when bhabhi is infront you.
Ram threw the cushions that was near him at shubu.
Ram: close your mouth otherwise I will break your other hand also.

Shubu was in leave as he had fractured his right hand few days back in an accident.
Shubu: bhabhi
Priya: serves you devarji.
Shubu pouted at Priya while Priya just smiled at him and got Ram's office bag from him. Ram bend down to get blessings from vedika's mom and dad smilingly.
Ram: hello vedika. How are you?
Vedika: I'm fine Ram. How are you?
Vedu mom: you never informed us about your marriage?
Virender: you were in Canada at that time. We tried to inform you but we can't get you on line.
Vedu: still I'm  like your sister. You should have informed me. Ram is my favourite.
Virender just smiled  in reply.

Priya came with sweet and gave it to Virender
Virender: mere liya kya baat hai
Priya: first feed him papa and then you can have
Virender: really beta
Priya: really papa.
Priya signalled Ram to get their father's blessings. Ram smiled at her and touched his father's feet.
Ram: I got my promotion today papa.
Virender got up from his place and hugged ram tightly feeling proud of his son.
Shubu too got up and hugged his brother. Virender fed Ram some sweet, while virender ate the remaining sweet happily but made a face on tasting it.
Ram laughed seeing his father's face.
Ram: you really thought she will give you sweet after your doctor's advice
Virender: I will live without sweets beta but please don't give me these sugar free sweets. It's just tastes weird.
Priya: you will get only one even if it is sugar free papa.
Shubu: bhabhi stopped making kheer due to you papa and Bhabhi makes the best Carrot halwa.
Ram: shubu is right. You should stop cheating papa
Virender: you two shut up.
Vedika and her parent's were looking at the scene in shock. They all genuinely forgot them.
Mami: congratulations Ram for your promotion.
Ram: thanks aunty.

Priya moved towards kitchen to prepare dinner after giving all of them some sweet. Ram after answering few questions about his job Nature to vedika's parents he excused himself in the pretext of freshen up. Virender looked at his son who was genuinely happy and virender knows Vedika's presence doesn't matter to ram. Ram assured his father that he is fine with his eyes and went inside.

Vedika sat there looking at Ram's family. Once Ram went to his room, he started shouting for his wife. Vedika noticed Priya huffing listening to his non stop shouting before moving to her bedroom. Ram hugged Priya tightly once she entered into their room. Priya parted from him and took his lips in a soul searing kiss making Ram to grin. Both parted in lack of oxygen.
Priya: congratulations pati. I'm very proud of you.
Ram: I just love your way of congratulating me wifey.
Ram kissed her forehead before claiming her lips for a another kiss.
Priya: you are fine right
Ram: how do I look?
Priya: my Ram
Ram: yes this is priya's Ram. No one matters to me other than you. Love you Jaan and thanks for coming into my life.
Priya: love you more for being the best husband. Thank you for allowing me into you life.
Ram: jaan
Priya: then shut up
Ram: done madam. No more Thanks.
Priya: good. Now change your clothes.
Priya took out his night clothes and gave him before moving out. Ram told Priya about his past with vedika. So he didn't feel anything after noticing vedika as he is truthful to his wife and Priya doesn't have any problem with Vedika's presence since she knew her husband is crazy for her.

Priya was in kitchen preparing dinner when shivi returned from college. She greeted the guest and went to get freshen up after giving a quick hug to her bhabhi. Vedika's mom noticed the way her ram's family treated their daughter-in-law. Shubu excused himself and went to kitchen to help his bhabhi even with his fractured hand. Ram who came out after changing directly entered kitchen and helped Priya in setting the table. Shivi quickly went to help her bhabhi after getting freshen up.
Priya: shivi your Bhai will help me, you have this soup first.
Shubu: bhabhi for me.
Shivi sat on the kitchen counter and started drinking the soup as she was really famished.
Shivi: are you a kid?.
Shubu: even you are not a kid.
Ram: shut up both of you.
Priya: You keep this on the table and shivi feed Shubu.
Ram: you are the one spoiling them.
Shubu&shivi: Bhai don't be jealous of us. Bhabhi loves us more than you.
Ram: who told you? My wife loves me the most. Haina jaan.
Priya: shut up and Stop behaving like a kid.
Shubu and shivi burst into laughing making Ram to glare at them.
Ram: now tell me whom do you love the most? Otherwise I'm not moving from this place.
Priya looked at her husband in disbelief for behaving like a kid. She looked at shubu and shivi who were giving teasing looks.
Priya came out of her thoughts listening to a throat clearing sound.
Priya: hey vedika.
Shubu: vedu do you need something?
Vedika: can I get a glass of warm water.
Priya: yeah sure.
Ram: I'm still waiting for your answer wifey.
Priya: seriously jaan
Ram: yes.
Priya: then listen  I love papa the most as he is a sweetheart nothing like you devils.
Ram: Priya
Shubu& shivi: bhabhi
Priya: now you three get out of my kitchen.
All three opened their mouth to say something but closed their mouth seeing the glare they got from Priya. All three silently walked out of the kitchen making Priya to smile. While Priya gave vedika a glass of warm water. Vedika thanked her and went out feeling left out. She literally grew up with Ram and his siblings but now she felt like alien among them
