Short Story

I was bored. I had an idea. I remembered idea. Now idea is a short story.
Btw, it's a Aion short story. I know I know. I've got issues. Shaddup and read.

An Elyos sat on a walkway built above a lake. His feet made waves in the water as he gently kicked them.

Colina lake was always soothing. Plus, the Airons were peaceful in Poeta, so he didn't have to worry about his bow sitting a few steps away. Here, he could relax. Enjoy himself.

He didn't get breaks like this often.

While his thoughts settled down, a women walked up from behind him. Her footsteps were silent, for she was being very careful not to make a disturbance. Her blonde bangs tickled her nose, making her oath of silence very hard to keep.

She made sure her daggers were secure around her belt and wouldn't make any noises. This would be so funny. The women tiptoed up until she was just a few feet behind her brown-haired friend. He had no idea she was there.

With a silent giggle, she turned around, crouched down and leaped, backflipping in the air so she could reach forward and grab the Ranger's shoulders. He let out a loud yelp as the women tugged at his loose clothing, dragging him with her into the water.

Thankfully the water was deep enough for them not to get hurt from impact.

She surfaced from underneath the water, laughing. She stood up in the shallow-ish water while she watched her friend splash in the water. The water wasn't that deep.

"Gale! The water isn't deep! Just stand up!" She shouted. Gale struggled for a few seconds more before standing up in dripping clothes. His face wasn't a happy one.

"God dammit Tiamat! I had just washed these too!" He shouted, gesturing to his clothes. Tiamat laughed.

"Quit being such a drama queen! You're technically re-washing them anyways!" She replied. Gale rolled his eyes.

"I guess. And what was that for? I was all nice and relaxed!" He shouted, a smile now on his face. Tiamat laughed again.

"That, my friend, is my revenge from the FrightCorn candy trick!" She laughed. Gale burst out laughing.

"That's right! That was hilarious! You're reaction was priceless! I couldn't believe-" poor Gale didn't get to finish that sentence. Tiamat had tackled her friend and pushed him back under water.

The two wrestled in the lake for some time, giving each other playful shoves and kicks. After Tiamat gave Gale one more kick, she surfaced for air. Gale popped up out of the water a few moments later, his pale, purple eyes bright with happiness. He gave her a charming smile, surprising Tiamat. He hadn't been this happy in awhile.

She saw Gale lean in, moving his face closer to hers. For a moment, she panicked. She knew exactly what he was going for, and Tiamat wasn't sure if she was ready...

To her own surprise, Tiamat found herself leaning forward. Soft lips met her own as Gale gently kissed her. Tiamat smiled into the kiss, reaching forward and wrapping her arms around his neck. Gale's arms snaked around her waist, holding her close as they kissed passionately.

After a few moments, they broke apart, pale yellow eyes staring into purple. Tiamat then buried her face into the crook of his neck, her face flushing with heat. Gale chuckled, tightening his grip on the Assassin, happy at the feeling swelling in his chest.

Tiamat, however, wasn't as happy. Though she knew she had fallen head over heels in love with this Elyos, she had basically signed her own death warrant. She wasn't really an Elyos. She was actually a Dragon Lord, a being that can change into an Asmodian or Elyos by choice, but is really a dragon that rules over Balaur.

Tiamat didn't know how this would work or why Aion had done this to her. Tiamat had come to spy, but instead fell in love and learned nothing. Beritra was going to kill her if he found out.

But she only relaxed in the Ranger's comforting arms. She could at least enjoy what was happening now. She'll cross that bridge when she gets there. For now, she'll be with this goofy dork she had fallen for in the short time she's been in Elysea.
