MCYT Oneshot Book - Volume 2

au notice: this chapter is based in a slightly altered version of my main au. in this version, scott and jimmy adopted a child. the child won't be brought up much in this oneshot but will appear in future ones.

lauren and bobby had decided to spend the day at home relaxing since they were planning on going to see friends that lived far away from them for a week or two. because of this, they hadn't planned to have friends over so when the doorbell sounded they were understandably confused.

at the sound of the doorbell, bobby picked up the tv remote to pause the show they were watching while lauren got up to go see what/who was at their door. she went to the door confused and found that confusion increasing considerably when she saw who was at the door.

"jimmy?" lauren half asked half greeted, the blonde gave a sheepish smile, "hi lauren." he said in a hushed voice. the quietness of his voice confused her more.

"sooo, what you doing here?" she encouraged slightly, jimmy chuckled before gesturing with his eyes to his arms, lauren looked down to see what he was attempting to say and soon found most of her puzzlement fade at what she saw.

in jimmy's arms was a sleeping scott wrapped in a blanket, "i- i was wondering if you and bobby could possibly take care of scott for the rest of the day. of course you don't have to! its just he's been overworking himself trying to take care of calypso and-" jimmy's rambling was cut off by lauren.

"jimmy its fine, we'll happily look after him. we can keep him overnight if that's easier." she suggested, jimmy gave an appreciative smile and nodded, "that would be great if you're willing to, thank you so much!" lauren chuckled.

once jimmy managed to get his sleeping husband safely into lauren's arms, he waved goodbye and got back into his car to drive back. lauren watched him leave before walking back inside and kicking the door closed.

"so, who was it?" bobby called from the living room, lauren walked carefully back into the room with scott in her arms. the expression bobby made nearly caused her to burst into laughter but she managed to stop herself in favour of not waking her friend.

"long story short, calypso was giving jimmy and scott a hard time so jim left him with us so he could get a break." she explained as she placed her friend down on a separate couch.

"wait, lie him on his stomach, lauren." bobby instructed suddenly, lauren gave her husband a confused look but did as she was told. bobby got off the couch and walked over to scott.

"i'm guessing you forgot about his wings." he said absentmindedly as he gently pulled the blanket away from their scottish friend's back.

"yeah... i did." lauren admitted sheepishly (don't worry lauren, i did as well T^T) causing bobby to laugh quietly. he carefully shifted scott's wings so they were resting against his back instead of being crushed under the weight of the blanket before settling down on the opposite couch.

"seems like the kid's already making herself known." bobby joked, lauren sent him a half-hearted glare coupled with a long sigh, she made her way over to bobby and sat down beside him.

"its worrying. i mean, scott barely slept enough even before adopting calypso so knowing he's getting even less sleep concerns me." lauren admitted, bobby frowned in worry as he too started to realise the impact scott and jimmy's child was having on the taller male.

they sat in silence for a while before hearing the sound of shuffling coming from the couch scott was on. scott groaned quietly as he began to wake up, lauren stood herself up and walked over to her friend.

"hi scott." she said quietly, she watched as scott's eyes opened slightly before focusing on her. he gave a quiet hum but made no attempt to move from where he was lying.

"go back to sleep you nutcase!" bobby shouted from his place on the couch, scott sent him a tired glare, "nice to fucking see you 's well." scott muttered as he closed his eyes, his response caused both lauren and bobby to burst into laughter.

"have a good sleep scott." lauren said after her laughter died down, she got a sleepy smile from scott before he fell back asleep.

jesus compared to the previous chapters this one is rather lengthy, nice. hope y'all liked this one and i'll see you in the next chapter. btw this will be the last post before i start my exams again, but they're getting close to being over so soon i'll be able to update this book much more than i have been!
