a/n: this chapter was made in an attempt to lower my stress levels during my exams so it will probably be all over the place.
btw eret uses he/her pronouns in my au (mostly she/her).
"of all the places i've found you in, this is definitely one of your weaker ones." eret stated as she carefully traversed the rooftop of their house, he settled himself down next to grian and looked out over the slowly setting sun.
"its too loud in there." was all the shorter male said, eret sighed and wrapped an arm around grian's shoulders. she made sure she didn't disturb the large set of wings that rested against grian's back.
she felt her older brother lean up against her side and felt a small smile pull at his lips, she knew that grian struggled with anxiety at random times and had found certain places in the house to be used as a quiet space to relax.
"i hate this feeling!" grian suddenly shouted, his voice was filled with frustration which tugged at eret's heart strings.
"i know, but it'll get better within time." she assured him quietly, grian buried his head against eret's chest and began to sob. knowing she couldn't do much, eret opted to continue rubbing grian's back while whispering comforting words in his ear.
after about 10 minutes of grian crying, the feeling of feathers suddenly wrapped around eret. she smiled when she saw grian's large parrot wings enclosing them both, it gave a similar feeling that a hug would give.
eret gently pulled his older brother into his lap and started playing with his hair, she felt grian melt against him and a soft chirp escaped his mouth causing eret to chuckle.
"love you." he heard grian say, she smiled,
"love you too." she whispered, the even breathes coming from her sibling told her that he'd fallen asleep. she continued to play with his hair as the sun finally fell behind the horizon.
yeah i legit had no plans for this chapter, but i do kinda like how it came out so that's a bonus. anyways i hope y'all have a good day/night!
