Everyone led Reika, April, Vern and the three mutated sisters out of the secret compound. They ran down its long, twisting corridors. One by one, they picked off the Foot soldiers patrolling the halls. The turtles, now with a fifth member, smashed them into walls and hurled them aside as if they weighed nothing at all.
After a while, Shira was amazed by her new magic water skills. She was a lot more powerful than her human form. She hasn't used her legs for a long time now and they have gotten stronger and faster. She was able to use her powers to disable the traps.
The Foot didn't notice that the girls were mutated and now they thought they had extra mutant turtles. And now their blood, the sisters' blood, is precious to them.
Finally, they were out. The cold air already made Shira cover her eye a little. "We'll just hop in the van and be back in New York in no time," Leo said, "Everybody ready?"
They nodded. The news van was just where they had left it. Unfortunately, it was surrounded by two dozen Foot soldiers. They stood at attention, weapons ready. "Oh my gosh, they have guns!" squealed Donnie.
"WHAT?!"
"Get down!" The three humans duck behind them. The boys shield them and two of the unconscious sisters fell in front of them. The bullets flew into their shells but did not miss them. Shira covered her entire face, her eye wide.
"Are you okay?" panted Leo, his eyes wide open.
"We're bulletproof," said Raph.
"Bulletproof? Like armor?" huffed Shira, looking at her entire plastron chest.
"Yes," Shira never believed it. Turtles are bulletproof. But if a human was full flesh, they would be shot.
"Wait. I think someone is waking up," said Reika who realized something.
Shira looked at her sisters. She could have sworn that she saw one of their eyes flicker a little. "Tomoka. Little sis, wake up! Are you okay?" Shira squeaked.
She nudged her sister to wake up. Tomoka opened her eyes, letting out a small cough. Her eyes were not green anymore but her eyes were completely blue, more aqua like, similar to the glowing aura. "Shira?"
"My goodness you're alive," she sniffled. Tomoka lifted her head and looked at her sister.
"Why are you a turtle?" she asked, confused.
"You should look at yourself," said Reika, chuckling,
Tomoka took a look at herself. In fact, she nearly panicked when she saw the sight of her new body. "When did I change bodies? What happened to my hair?"
"Long story," said Donnie to Tomoka.
"Can you drive the van?" Leo asked Vern.
He nodded his head. "Ready?" he told his now six turtle friends.
"You sure you got the strength for this?" Donnie asked his girlfriend.
"I'll try, but I might be a little weak," Tomoka said, taking a very deep breath. And so they did their best. Dodging their attacks, they avoid the weapons and smash the soldiers. Tomoka was a little scared to go near one, but she did her best by using her Yumi bow and arrow.
At last they reached the van, April jumped into the passenger seat, Vern slammed the accelerator to the floor, Reika jumped in the other seat. The others climb into the back of the truck. Mikey thumped the roof to signal Vern. He threw the wheeler into gear and rumbled across. Vern struggled for control, but there was nothing he could do. Now that the girls are mutated, they have to sit in the back now except for Reika. She's still human.
