'whats going on?' castiel asked coming up behind them.

'cas!' dove jumped up and hugged him. 'thanks for the save.' She said kissing his cheek, castiel blushed.

'of course. i... yes... of course.' He said and dean rose an irritated brow at him. 'um... yes I was... what is he still doing here?' cas asked looking to crowley.

'we are hearing him out.' Dove informed him taking her seat next to sam, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and she molded into his side. 'he has a proposition... right Crowley?' dove said winking.

Vixen. Crowley thought he was biting his lip watching her.

'crowley!' dean yelled and Crowley looked back to dean.

'Squirrel.' Crowley replied.

'he doesn't have anything useful to say. I say we end him! Kill the king of hell. I like the sound of that.' dean said happily moving his blade forward. But dove cleared her throat and shook her head. 'talk!' dean demanded.

'what if I give you tips every now and again and you let me do my deals and rule hell as I see fit?' Crowley offered. 'my tip the other day was quite useful no?' Crowley asked and the bother remained quiet. It was helpful. The demons Crowley sent them after were trouble but then dove got hurt protecting this prick, was keeping him alive worth the hassle of having to deal with this man, this demon?

Dove could see deans working, thinking, he wasn't going to deal with Crowley. Dove saw her discarded blade tucked under the couch, she took her toe and pulled it out hiding it under her foot.

'no, no deal.' Dean said.

'what if-'

'dove I love you-' dove slide the blade to Crowley, while everyones eyes were on her and dean. Crowley caught the corner of her eye and she pleaded silently for him to run. He had saved her. '-but come on this guy. putting up with him is not worth the hassle love!' dean told her.

'if he is the king of hell wouldn't it be better to have him in our pocket?' dove questioned. Crowley slipped to the ground and broke the seal but stayed put. He slide the blade back to her. she knocked it under the couch with her toes. 'I mean if we kill the king of hell then someone else takes his place right?' Her eyes darted to him. He was still there. why was he still here? 'someone we don't know, someone less civil...'

'peanut is right,' sam said but dean shook his head.

'no. hes a demon. We kill demons.'

'well that sounds, less than satisfactory.' Crowley turned to dove. 'a pleasure my darling dove.' He said before disappearing.

'what the fuck!' dean yelled running forward to where Crowley stood. A small nick in the trap was seen. "what did he get his hands on to break the trap!?" dean yelled.

'I don't know dean, maybe it wasn't-'

Castiel was watching dove as she sat silently. Her brothers bickered and she looked longingly at the spot where the demon stood.

'dove' castiel said nodding to the kitchen.

'hey cas, whats up-'

'I know it was you.' He told her.

'I don't know what you mea-'

'dove.' He said sternly. 'why did you let the demon go?'

'he saved me.' castiels face dropped, dove was a softie. She had been a hunter all her life. She loved the life but she wore her heart on her sleeve. She was kind and compassionate. she was overly invested in every case and every person that they helped and those that they couldn't help.

'oh sweetie.' Castiel said and dove pulled him outside and around to the junk yard. Away from her brothers prying ears.

'he called you right? That's how you came and found me. saved me?' castiel nodded. 'cas I know hes a demon but I talked with him, and he was so normal. He was funny and kind and... cas don't tell dean or sam... please.'

'technically I saved you.' Castiel said after a quiet moment.

'yes technically you did. But if he didn't call you... you wouldn't have known I was in trouble. He oculd have left me there. he could have let the demons kill me but he didn't. he stayed even after you came he stayed... he sat in a trap for almost two days while I was upstairs recovering... he could have left. He could have run and saved himself but he wanted to make sure I was okay.... you ever meet a demon with a conscience?'

'no he is... different I noticed that as well.'

'I couldn't let dean kill him.'

'I understand dove. Lets just hope this doesn't turn around on us-' cas said looking over her shoulder, hearing sam and dean still bickering.

'yeah and bite us in the butts.' Dove added.

'I don't think Crowley would bite us. He is a demon not a vampire dove.' Cas told her and dove started to laugh.

'oh honey... come on. Lets go check on my brothers.' Dove pulled cas back to the house, a smile on her lips as she thought of the demon in the suit with the beautiful accent.

That was the first time she met Crowley but it wouldn't be the last. He would become a staple in her life and she liked having another supernatural connection.
