Why must executive dysfunction exist? All it does is make those around you think you’re lazy when in reality, you PHYSICALLY CAN NOT MOVE NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOUR BRAIN YELLS AT YOU!
Believe us when we say that it is absolute hell that we can't function no matter what’s either going on in our brain or around us.
As you keep telling us we’re lazy, we need to get off our ass, we’re never gonna get a job/we can never get a job/a job isn’t an option for a lazy fuck like us, all you’re doing is fueling the inner demons, making me feel more like ass/worthless-piece-of-shit-who-can-never-get-anything-done. We want to be able to do shit when we’re frozen in executive dysfunction.
If we have a job, then we might be able to work because we have a goal to work for(money). Also, body doubling(having someone else in the same room so that way there is a form of accountability to get shit done(I'm speaking from my experience).
Please be patient with us. We’re trying our damb best, and your venomous words are not helping. Being extremely overwhelmed tackles you down to the ground, and you can’t do anything but wait for the torture to be over.
Sometimes, you can somehow convince yourself to get up and do the thing, but sometimes that doesn’t work. Sometimes, you just have to wait it out until your body reluctantly says you can function. Until then, you’re stuck in place like a statue. It doesn’t matter if you try to explain yourself, people will see that as an excuse, and belittle you for that.
