As Asungbowo was walking she discovered the village is very quiet and nobody bothers to come out or even stand at the gate to get an update on how things are going with the war
She thought to herself

Asungbowo: how wicked these people are. since it's not their relative outside fighting, while should they bother

She kept on lamenting how it's both hers and her mother's fault since they allowed Ajibosin to go join the war

She got to the gate and she met her father's friends who were assigned to guide the gate

Gatekeeper 1: Asungbowo the sleeper, how are you?

Gatekeeper 2: the most beautiful girl in our village

Asungbowo: I'm fine (while blushing and also trying to keep a determined look on her face)

Gatekeeper 1: where to? (Looking at her with concern)

Asungbowo: my mother sent me to buy foodstuff at the odun market since we ran out of what to eat

Gatekeeper 2: your mother knows very well that the odun market is not that safe and they can be ambushed at the market at any time

Asungbowo: I was told to go quickly and ran back as fast as I can (while praying in her heart for this man to free her and let her go)

Gatekeeper 1: I'm sure her mother knows she's smart, let her go and I'm very sure if it wasn't urgent they won't allow her to step out like this

They opened the gate for her.  Asungbowo hopped out joyfully and with a lot of expectations on how much things this little money will get compared to if she had gone to the osu market

She saw different food and just got carried away admiring everything she is seeing before her for a few coins

Not too long they started hearing gunshots and quickly all the traders started running to shelter
Asungbowo was stunned and just stood there clueless about where to run to and thinking of how worried her mother must be at home
She stood there crying for help while watching while all the traders disappeared one after the other

Who will help Asungbowo
Are these people shooting part of her village warriors?
